Date men and women from United States. Well... I have brown hair with a touch of silver, a big bright smile, and warm brown eyes. Friends say these compliment my friendly personality but - LOL - I say think George Clooney without the annoying paparazzi!
Stuff I like? Hmmmn, let's see...
Art and other cultural events – the quirkier the better. I could spend days browsing through the amazing work posted on Flickr - it's fascinating to me how others see the world. I'm especially into public art and murals and give mural tours in the Mission for a couple of non-profits.
Music is my passion. I love it! Almost all types – Cuban, Latin, Reggae, old school soul... you name it. A recent favorite is the "Playing for Change" compilation. You've got to check it out! If you’ve got one, it will touch your heart. And speaking of which, Sade completely melts mine.
I love my family, love my friends, and people in general… good food (okay - most food) and Amoeba Music (where I tithe regularly). I prefer low-key and unpretentious to over the top type of places, red wine to white (unless we're at a dive bar, in which case I'll be drinking whiskey), and pretty much any independent little neighborhood coffee shop to Starbucks.
Some things I’ve learned about myself? Dancing lessons have taught me that I’ve got two left feet. Martial Arts classes have taught me that I have two right hands. Both have taught me that I'm not hopeless. And somewhere along the line I’ve discovered that I’m a good kisser (so I’ve been told).
Lastly, I’ll add that I’ve got a sharp wit and a great, sometimes sarcastic, sense of humor. Nothing in life is funny without a sense of humor and can you imagine life without laughter? No thank you!
I'd love to meet a woman who's into music, diversity, creativity and culture… Someone easy-going who can rock a pair of jeans, loves to laugh and can make me laugh! Seems simple enough... I know you're out there. Let’s do this thing! If you're feeling kinda shy - just send a wink.
Meet a man from United States. Hmm...summing up oneself...a work in progress.
I'm a geek, a leader, slightly introverted, highly passionate, immensely loyal, big hearted and adventurous.
I work hard running a company during the day. But make time every day to lead balanced life. Balancing time between family, friends and myself. I love cycling, snowboarding, hiking and hitting the beach. Cycling is a passion and I compete in century rides several times a year.
My dog, Ripley - named after Sigourney Weaver's character in Aliens, is one of the loves in my life. We spend time hiking in Marin, playing in the surf at Crissy Field or hanging at the Farmer's Market.
Music and movies are favorite escapes - though a dose of junk television is a welcome distraction. I'm gearing up to watch the Olympics and Tour de France this summer. Concerts, festivals and local live music are always fun!
Growing up in the Bay Area, I continue to find great new things to share with friends and family. From a great roadside burger joint to an amazing organic farm grown dinner or the best movie theaters in Bay Area.
I'm looking for a partner in crime. Someone ready to share the adventures life, has a great sense of humor, is secure in who they are, able to communicate honestly and have passion for life.
Staying fit, without being obsessive, should be important. As is eating healthy. Though guilty pleasures are the spice of life - dark chocolcate, delicious wine and savory treats.
My ideal evening might be trying a new hole in the wall restaurant before hitting the Kabuki for a movie, stretching out on the couch after cooking dinner or hanging with friends and family. On a rainy morning, you are equally happy staying in bed or splashing around the city.
I pay attention to the myriad of joys that make for a fulfilling life. The satisfaction of a job well done. Cool breeze on a hot day sitting with my dog. Laughter around the table while dining with friends or family. Sound of skis on the snow under my feet. Excitement of connecting with a new friend.
Message, wink or IM! This is a dating site after all.
Date people from United States. What can I say? I am a nice girl (usually) just looking to find that special person. I am the proud mom of two girls who have graduated from college and high school respectively. I put off a lot of things to devote myself to raising them, and now I am so excited that my life is actually mine again. I am hoping to start off this new found freedom by meeting some really wonderful people. I am also transitioning into a new career. After working with the public for so long and encountering just about every situation and dramatic incident there is, I thought it would be fun to learn why people do the "interesting" things they do. So I took my passion for understanding the misunderstood, and decided to get myself a master's degree out of it. The next thing I knew, I was at the tail end of my training to become a therapist. The cool part in all of this is that I absolutely love it! Dr. Phil needs to watch out for me, because I'm on my way and I want his spot. Sometimes things get intense but I have my friends and family to keep me sane. I live my life on the side of sensibility, but also make room to be spontaneous. I have definitely learned to appreciate some good old-fashioned down time, which might consist of some lazy Saturday sleep-ins where I keep my pajamas on all day. On the flip side though, whenever I can, I love getting out and seeing what I can get into. It is important for me to make time for worship on Sundays though, because my relationship with God is what sustains me. My guilty pleasures are cheese puffs, horror movies, chocolate and Maury Povich. Hey, who doesn't want to know who the father is? One of the things I dream of doing one day is traveling to Egypt to see the great Pyramids. I want to experience all of Africa and walk on the ground that my ancestors once traveled. I think that would be such a profound, spiritual experience
About the One I'm Looking For:
Someone who has big, loud, colorful dreams! If I could compare what I want to a movie the ideal man would be something like Revenge of the nerds, meets The Terminator meets, The Hangover, meets Friday the 13th. Brains, brawn and humor, with a sprinkle of bad boy. Nothing extreme ,but someone who can hold his own in every situation; from offering his opinion on who he feels should be elected president, to belting out "YMCA" in front of a crowd on karaoke night all the way down to wrestling a 900 lb grizzly bear to the ground. Just kidding about the bear. If we were ever faced with that situation, I would have total respect for you if you decided to run. Besides, how else would you catch up with me?
I will freely admit that I can be as goofy as they come, so I love a funny, interesting guy that can make me laugh until my stomach aches, or hold me captive with stories about things in his life. I absolutely adore passion. It could about you repping your favorite team-T-shirts, slippers, and even a snuggie if that's how you roll. That old car you've been restoring on the weekends for the past 10 years ,your shot glass collection from the 80's, or even your prized garden in the backyard. The right man helps me to shine by encouraging me to be my best and understands that though we may not always see eye-to-eye, we are on the same team and will do whatever it takes to win the game -together. If you are comfortable in your own skin and at peace with your flaws then let's chat. And if you just happen have a hopeless romantic side and a killer smile? You get bonus points.
