Meet someone special from California, United States. I am fairly calm and patient. I have a playful personality, but I can also be serious. Filling out the profile was a little bit tricky for me. My reason is that I am going through a remarkable change right now. I have had a chronic sort of mysterious neurological illness that has limited my mobility quite a bit for many years. Last summer I suddenly started to get better. I began seeing a hypnotherapist. I'm getting better week after week. So the difficult part was describing my body type and what activities I enjoy. What I like has not been necessarily what I can do for years now, but that is changing. I have been able to do some things that I like for sure. I like to be outdoors. But I also like to dress up sometimes, especially if it's for dancing, which I was able to do recently for the first time in several years. What a blast! Her this illness is disabling to the extent that I can only sit for about 20 min. at a time, can be on my feet standing and walking about (during which I appear completely healthy) for an hour and a half, after which I need to lie down, prone for about 45 min.
I enjoy skiing, dancing, hiking. And now that I've given such a list of "active likes", I should stress that right now the only things in this list I can do are moderate walks (45-60 min.) and dancing (1 hr 30 min.) Maybe 2x down the bunny hill (I will definitely work on beating back to skiing down any hill, all day!) I am still able to have sex, and enjoy it. Hiking--if there is steepness would probably dictate that I just make it a very short hike---30 min.
I enjoy just getting together and socializing, but also enjoy time for myself; like watching movies now and then and certain TV shows. I was a teacher---7th grade, then 5th grade mostly. I had to leave my job, because of symptoms increasing. But I developed an online tutoring business of, which is going pretty well. So I am semiretired. But again, I hope to be in the classroom again; that would be awesome!
Going back to the "trickiness" I mentioned; I did not really know how to answer the frequency of exercise question. I do a kind of yoga every day---mostly stretches, and very minimal strengthening/toning, also daily ; I can say that I am very limber. And although when I look at myself I feel bad that I am just not looking as and toned as I was 10 years ago, people tell me that my figure still looks good. I know that they are NOT just being polite.
My illness is not hereditary, nor contagious. There is no illness in my ancestry. My whole family it's very healthy. I am sure that if my married 56-year-old sister was suddenly single she would not have much trouble finding someone. My 82-year-old dad is still out cross-country skiing, hiking and riding his bike.
I'm looking for someone with similar interests, and similar personality. I am not high maintenance. I'm pretty good at finding my fun. I have friends. But I am looking for a kindred spirit. I'm excited about doing this, but a little bit anxious at the same time! Maybe there is someone out there for me…… I want to fall in love. But if that doesn't happen after a date or two, no harm done. Move on to the next guy, right?

Its very simple, I don't lie to anyone about anything for any reason ever.. period! I don't need to. Sense of humor is a MUST...if you can't laugh at yoursef or situations life is difficult to get through. I am a Mom first, although happily my last one is now a grown up too. I'm hard working , own my own house and a 2004 Honda element whichI love. ( I don't drive my networth!) Primarily in my career I have been an entrepeneur and sales person in different forms. I've been known to spring for First Class now and then, because in everything I do the journey is as equally as important as the destination. I love Vegas, Tahoe, NYC, Cruises, Europe , Hawaii, anything Tropical and Disney! Yes I said Disney, I come from a "Disney" family. If you like Disney 100 points you are given off the bat :) I like to drink occassionally but don't smoke and not interested in someone who does. I like men who are larger then me because if I can "take" you then I don't need you ;) Honesty and creativity go along way with me. No one is perfect! I'm equally comfortable camping as I am at a 5 start hotel, and do expect a man to take me to dinner and pay. Yes...lol I said it, I expect him to pay. I can pay for my own dinner if I want to, just like I can have intimate relations with myself too , but thats not as much fun either. I'm not sure if I look my age but I know I don't look older then my age, I attibute that to clean leaving and loving life. I've dated online before, its been several years.
