LetРІР‚в„ўs see being winked/emailed by men old enough to be my grandfather or young enough to be my son; at least I know IРІР‚в„ўm not a gold digger or cougar LOL. Do I dare talk about the outdated pictures? And the things some people write OMG! I wonder if there are any decent average guys out there?
I am beginning to think that the type of relationship I would be happy in probably doesn’t exist. It comes down to this…I want a long-term mutually exclusive relationship with someone with all that that entails, honesty, respect, faithfulness, love and understanding, BUT, I don’t wish to get married or move in together anytime soon – but believe we can have a real loving relationship without living under the same roof. The day will come when we both are ready to take that step I'm not against it, I just want to ensure that before I take that step it's the absolute right person.
The other day I was shopping for insulation panels and there was a couple looking at tools, holding hands, that’s what I want…it doesn’t matter if we are out somewhere fun or out shopping for insulation it’s the fact that you are there together. We can sit around doing nothing or watching a DVD or having a BBQ ---Sure I want to go to concerts and movies and other places, but my point is that I am not looking to find someone to just have fun with; I am looking for someone to share everything with…the good and the bad.
So, is my “match” out there or is what I want frowned upon? Oh well at least you can’t say I’m not honest. A few things about me…I like classic rock, alternative, some hip-hop, old school, oldies and cumbia and merengue. I don’t care for heavy metal or rap. I will drag you on the dance floor if I like the song. I don’t like seafood, or being out in the direct sun! I love classic movies from the 30’s-50’s and you must be okay with hanging out with my family for family gatherings whether it’s house parties or going out somewhere together like the fair or other event; because I kinda like them ?. I have 3 adult sons (not kids so selected “no kids”) – no drama with family, friends or exes.
I do have a social life but desire to have that special someone in my life --- when asked what I do for fun I have a hard time coming up with an answer as I don’t really go out much, most of the time it’s hanging out with family or friends – doing normal stuff like catching a movie, shopping, trip to the swap meet, grabbing a bite to eat, or visiting each other to catch up and of course there’s the birthday and holiday parties throughout the year. Sometimes I turn down invites because I know I am going to be the fifth wheel– I’m sure you can understand that being single too.
