Meet a woman from Chula Vista, United States. Gosh, it would be better if one of my friends wrote this blurb, but I will give it a shot. I am a recovering workaholic and believe it or not, it was my dog that forced me to find work life balance. I got my dog Dexter over a year ago and it dawned on me that it would be incredibly selfish if I continued to work 12 - 14 hours a day. Thanks Dex! In my work life I am a problem solver, decision maker, coach and counselor....all in a corporate setting but in my personal life, I want it to be stress and drama free. I love being spontaneous and trying new things...whether restaurants, activities, etc....but I can be a scary cat sometimes, but I am willing to try most things at least once. How do you know what you like if you don't try, right?
My friends all scratch their heads when they think of me being single. They would say that I am attractive, smart, fun, generous, kindhearted and a faithful friend. My guy friends say they would date me if they were single and my girlfriends are straight, but if they liked women, they'd date me too....that's funny! I love a good laugh, you know the ones that make your stomach hurt. I don't tell jokes well but I love a great one. I also can laugh at myself. I don't take the ups and downs of life very seriously. I try never to stress about things outside of my control because it never helps. I am level headed...the person that others come to for ideas and to be a sounding board. In fact, I am convinced that Oprah stole my life because I can see myself listening and offering ideas for empowering others.....and I could sit in her chair and earn millions....that would be sweet!
I am proud of my academic and career accomplishments but I am most grateful for my family. I was blessed with parents that were not perfect, but they were perfect for me. They taught me to care about others and to do to others what I'd wish for myself. They motivated me to be an achiever and loved me when I fell short. They kept me safe and protected. Sorry to go on and on but family is incredibly important and they shape who you become.
In regards to my ideal match, I don't know that there is such a thing. I am looking for someone that is ambitious, confident, interested in trying new things but not so far outside the bounds that he is an extremist, someone who makes a commitment and follows through, a man that knows how to treat a lady. I am originally from New Orleans and I grew up with men opening doors, etc. Believe me, I am a woman that can take care of herself, but I am looking for someone who cares about others.
