Date someone special from Half Moon Bay, United States. The main photograph was taken in July, 2012. The remaining pictures (except tennis pics) are recent from 2010 to June, 2012. I have been blessed with good health. I am young physically and mentally thanks to a positive outlook on life and great genes. (My Chinese Dad was born in Oakland, and he met my Mom,G erman with some Cherokee Indian, when he attended UT Austin in the 1940s.)
I am very easy-going and calm and have learned to enjoy life each moment, each day. The best things in life really are free! I have always been self-sufficient and do not put any pressure or demands on my partner. At this point in life, I don’t have any major baggage, and “drama” is a turn off. Even though I have managed to become educated in my field, I believe living in this world and meeting the people in it is better than any classroom! Politically, I am liberal; I take time to study and weigh ideas, ideals, issues, and platforms. I have a positive outlook on life, the best years are now and in the future, and I believe “the joy is in the journey”.
I purchased a home and moved to Half Moon Bay to be close to my children and their families. I raised 2 beautiful daughters, worked, and continued my education. After retirement from Texas public education, I continue to work part time as an educational consultant, and I enjoy what I do, but I realize there is a lot more to life. Part of this new epiphany is the desire for a companion/friend/partner, someone with whom to share the amazing joys of life. With the right partner, I am affectionate, considerate, caring, and your best friend (I also like to cuddle!).
I have been very active physically throughout life. I played in USTA tennis leagues for 26 years. When I entered a doctoral program, I quit tennis for a while due to time constraints and a knee injury. I experienced successful knee surgery last summer, and I have returned to a more active lifestyle walking the coastal trail in HMB, biking, and joining a spin class (I donРІР‚в„ўt know how long the spinning will last!)
I have several creative interests that keep me occupied. I love my grandchildren (3), garden, read a lot, cook healthy meals (ask me how many ways can one use spinach), sew, do watercolors, and make jewelry. I am currently working on an iPad app that is connected to my work in education.
Meeting a like-minded friend/partner would be a great bonus. I believe that relationships are created together. At this stage in life, too many preconceived (“set in our ways”) notions limit possibilities. Kindness, openness, intelligence, fitness, a positive outlook, and a willingness to share the joys of life would be on my list. Feel free to email if we might be a match.
“Be careful what you water your dreams with.
Water them with worry and fear, and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream.
Water them with optimism and solutions, and you will cultivate success.
Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success.
Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.” –Lao Tzu
