I've recently started to jog along with my walking through the Jeff Galloway program (starts off with 15 seconds of jogging, 45 seconds of walking then goes from there). I also enjoy yoga and QiGong. Oh, and for the last few months I've been pretty much vegetarian/vegan...don't know if it's forever but I've noticed such a difference I don't see going back.
I have three adult children (all finally in Sonoma County) and a just-turned-five granddaughter. Our family is close and it is something I value deeply.
I love traveling even though it can, at times, be challenging. (That's when I get to practice 'going with the flow' and being at peace with the unexpected) I met up with my daughter in Thailand earlier this year for a few weeks and had a great time, even though there were some ups and downs! I'm planning on a trip to Guatelmala in February. I work part-time as a medical Social Worker (retired from my real job) and so far it suits me fairly well.

I have worked in retail off and on most of my life, managed the tasting room at my family's winery for about 10 years, had the crush parties,did wine tastings, and had a blast! There is transit up here and all about No Bay.
I learned this when I moved here this summer.
Great commuter bus system all over the North Bay.
I go down to So Bay bi monthly over the Golden Gate.
I used to live there, but the high cost of living drove me North.
I like living in No Bay and semi retiring here with Tycho my senior cat.
We found a shabby chic senior home here and are fixing it up and sorting storage.
Pretty soon we will be current!
I gave up my paint store decorating job in So Bay.
Here I offered my service at Discount Blinds and now manage the shop on Saturdays..
Always good to earn a little extra for spending money.
I noted that I have no children.
Actually I have 3 adult step children and 3 young step granddaughters I rarely see.
They live apart but they will always live in my heart.
I like grandchildren and would like to see mine more and share yours if you have some to visit.
I am closer to my niece, nephew,my foster adult daughter, and expected foster grand daughter.
I like to go to SF on Sundays or a weekday and take a ferry ride, tour, see an art gallery or museum, zoo, have lunch or dinner on the wharf.
What a fun day we can share.
For staying close here, we can visit a winery tour and gift shop, listen to music in the mall or park, share a good movie with a plot, and pick somewhere close by for meal.
For the ordinary there is shopping and appointments to do.
I am into exchanging so I like to share the costs of these adventures..

Raising the boys was a very rewarding time of my life, I enjoyed it so. Now single life is even more interesting, what a surprise!! Going through a divorce, after 30 years of marriage, was difficult but personally transforming. Dealing with such adversity, and coming out the other side, has taught me a lot about myself. I have learned that I am strong and self reliant. I have also learned that good friends and family are the most important part of life. Now, I have a lot to give back. My friends would probably describe me as follows: friendly, easy to know, calm, fun-loving, witty, loyal, mischievous - these are some of the adjectives. I would add that I love to cook, entertain, enjoy sports, like to play bridge and board games.
