Date someone special from Carmichael, United States. Friends tell me that I am warm, compassionate, outgoing, and very giving. When I am not at my practice, or teaching, I spend time working out, reading, and exploring Northern California. Now that it is summer, you will find me in the bay areas on the weekends. I love to dance, but am a bit rusty as I haven't had a dance partner in years. I love the simple things in life like good snow to ski on, rainy days for reading, baking, painting, and Sundays with my family. I love to fish, hike, and explore out of the way antique shops or hit Alameda on Sundays for Mid-Century Modern furniture. Steve Martin, Gilda Radner, and Ellen De Generes make me laugh. I have learned to never take myself too seriously, and am looking for the same in a partner. I am hoping to find someone who loves to play, laughs easily, and is loving and kind.
I care about people, and am pretty smart. I can find adventure in almost any situation and hope to find someone to join me in exploring the world. Life is too much fun to go it alone. I love the opera and don't know why other than Puccini gives me chills. Conversely, I love off-beat plays, comedy clubs, and art galleries. I absolutely love to garden, and enjoy the feel of good soil between my fingers and the bounty of the harvest. I used to have a bakery, love to bake good bread, and share culinary pursuits. Family means a great deal to me. I left a lucrative job to move to Sacramento to be close to my family. If any of this resonates with who you are drop me a line. Who knows where it will lead?
Meet a soulmate from Carmichael, United States. Writing a profile that people will read to decide if they want to get to know you is worse than writng those college essays. It might even be more difficult than knowing who you want to be when you grow up. I guess the basics are a good place to start. I am a fifth grade teacher, and I feel I have the best job in town. Not quite ready to retire just yet. Honestly, I am not sure how I would spend my days without being in a classroom with students. I enjoy long weekends in San Francisco or pretty much any place near the ocean. My three children live and work in San Francisco, and my most favorite things to do are to visit them and find a new favorite restaurant, have unlimited time on Union or Chestnut Street, and walk to the Golden Gate. I don't need to spend a lot of money finding a place to relax or get away from it all. I find that those places are much closer than we think.
I was born in Cincinnati and moved to Sacramento as a teenager and have been in California ever since. After graduating from UC Davis with a history degree, I settled in Sacramento and have made my home here. I hope I haven't lost any friends along the way as I have found, over the years, friends are what keep you sane and grounded. I am not much of a risk taker, so this Match format is a bit of a challenge. For many years I ran many miles and many marathons, until the wheels feel off. Now I put that same energy toward practicing yoga, some gym time, and walking on the bike trail. I prefer dogs to cats, early mornings to late nights, and I just flat out love a good dessert (creme brulee tops the list), Italy, the Giants, and walks by the ocean. But nothing is written in stone and all suggestions and interests and new friends are welcome. I don't take anything for granted.I am fortunate enough to enjoy all the good things in my life and everything I have been given, and I look forward to sharing these with someone who appreciates the journeys we have taken. Trust, finding humor in something at least once a day, and sharing an honest conversation are the things I value in my friends and what I am looking for in you.
