Date a woman from California, United States. I grew up in Miami Beach. I left to attend prep school near Boston. I attended college at San Francisco Art Institute. I received BFA and MFA Degrees in filmmaking.
I came to Los Angeles to work in the film industry. I started working for screenwriters and eventually became a literary agent. I moved on to become a production executive, and producer. I also enjoyed working for Japan's largest TV network, and an Italian film producer who was my artistic soul mate.
I shifted to studies of life sciences. I went partway through an RN program. I work for a psychiatrist/MD/MPH reviewing medical/legal evaluations. I recently completed accounting classes and loved it. More about that later!
I did a certain amount of volunteer work including a two-year stint at UCLA Medical Center. I thought about that phrase "take a walk on the wild side" as often I found myself in extreme situations. But it was the best thing I ever did as it gave me insight into the pain and suffering of other people.
During that time I also did a brief stint working on a ranch pushing cattle in mountainous terrain. This required being on a horse for several hours. I am used to being around horses. I would not exactly call myself the rugged type. I prefer a hot shower to a freezing cold dousing from a water truck but if that's all there is I'll take it.
I have gone on skiing trips but was never a great skier and have to take lessons. I have never learned to play golf. I played basketball as a kid but don't know a thing about football.
As a hobby I ride Saddlebred horses which I have been doing on and off since I was a kid. This is a show horse - riding the breed is a blast - it's like riding the wind. No, I do not expect the man I get involved with to learn how to ride! It's not for everyone! Saddlebreds are most celebrated in Kentucky. I had a chance to go there for a riding workshop and see some of the horse farms. Gorgeous.
I have two children and they live with me. This might be an issue for some and I would ask that members consider this before contacting me. If your profile states clearly that you are seeking a woman whose children do not live at home, you might contact me anyway. This may pose a dilemma as I want everybody to be happy in their pursuit.
I am looking for a connection with someone I honestly feel it might happen with. I know what love is - I know what caring is - and I am prepared to go the distance with someone if they are prepared to do this with me. But this takes time and evaluation.
I have noticed that there are some members who state that they are seeking someone who is "baggage free" or "drama free." I am bewildered by these statements as I have never met a person who is "baggage free" or "drama free." You may need to explain.
Finally - I like a man who makes sound decisions, knows where his life is headed, and is kind to children and the elderly. These qualities are very important to me.
