Date someone special from Stinson Beach, United States. I love thoughtful conversation, shooting stars, color, slow dancing, clean sheets, light on water, sweet peas, well-crafted spaces, belly laughs, hardware stores, Ah-ha moments and sun on my back.
I grew up on the coast in Southern California, sailing, catching waves on my little red and blue raft, playing tennis, building forts and riding "May Belle" at the stables when I saved fifty cents for the half-hour lesson. The ocean was our neighborhood—many, many days at sea cruising the western hemisphere, sometimes wishing that I could just stay home and ride bikes like the other kids. It didn’t take long to understand the gift.
Watching the sun set into the ocean on a fogless evening is ritual I hate to miss. I am blessed with great biking, a beach on which to run, swimming, kayaking, and a mountain to hike without ever getting into a car. Health and wellness are a choice not a chore.
A perfect day means out-of-doors exploring alone or with friends, exercising, gardening or painting. After the sun goes down—films, lectures, theater, music, cooking for friends whether 2 or 20, or diving into my current book or the insatiable stack of unfinished New Yorkers—Vivaldi to Jack Johnson or NPR in the background—are what I enjoy the most.
I am passionate about social justice issues, especially access to quality education and the timely preservation of this incredible earth. Continuing to learn, art, architecture, thoughtful design, remarkable friends and making a difference as an advocate and volunteer, nurture my soul. Pilates, yoga, meditation, painting and writing several days a week, help deepen the learning.
Now grown, my kids are independent and thriving. In a delightful role reversal, they have become my teachers.
I hope to find an equally curious partner to share an intimate and expansive life, with wellness and humor as priorities.
