Date a man from California, United States. Hello..... Well I am new to this method of meeting new friends and am somewhat cautious as it seems we are fiirst judged by our photos. If that is your MO, you need not continue. My face does not do my heart or lifestyle justice, and yes I wish I had more hair...........but I have some friends that have found their soul-mates here and decided to give it a try. I am an intielligent, funny, quick-witted, work hard-play hard guy who believes in romance, fidelity, Christmas, family, HOPE and that our children can make a positive difference in the world if we encourage them.
I am hoping to find someone to spend some time with, get to know, and see where it may lead. I am not necessarily looking for an everlasting relationship, but I am hopeful to find one someday and to find someone that believes it exists, as I do. They say things happen when you are not looking for them, so I will find a friend first and see where it leads. I love the idea of marriage and being with someone to make lasting memories with but I will wait for the magic, not force it. I am a romantic and believe that we get back from life what we put into it so we should live it well and try to make a difference. Although my photos may lead you to believe otherwise, I enjoy everything from Frisbee in the park to riding the roller coaster after an evening at the theatre. Dinner in is usually better than out, fiip flops are usually better than boots and shorts/jeans are preferred over slacks and a tie, but I clean up well and know where great restaurants are. Life is not to be lived in a box........ The beach, hiking local trails and patio time are favorites of mine.
I enjoy music, horses, hiking, shooting pool, live theatre, the Gaslamp Quarter, camping in the Eastern Sierras, and Mexico ( I am a regular in Cabo). I loved Europe, especially Rome and Paris, and am hoping to return with someone who shares an interest in travel. I look older than I am or live...I know, sorry..... perhaps it's the price of experience and learning what matters in life. My heart and life-style are that of one many years younger, and so are many of those I hang with (and my taste in music of late!).
I love to have friends and familly over for Charger games or carne asada and have a great home for gatherings, love to fill it up, and I always cook! Biking, skating, pool, hiking fly-fishing in Belize, Alaska, the Sierras, hike the north rim of the Grand Canyon or the trails in Ziion...........ugh!
I love kids and I believe in them. I have two daughters, 24 and 26, both university graduates with exciting lives of their own but with whom I love to kick. Nice when my 24 year old daughter says "let's go surfing", we go to the beach and she takes off on a wave on her board next to me, body surfing. Yeah.... nice.
Please, don't judge me by my serious, mug: You will not find a funnier man. Judge me by my heart and you will find a pretty good guy who is honest, faithful, kind and clearly off the wall sometimes when we just need to laugh, not care what others think, and have fun. I am comfortable in any group of people and think we are all folks and should treat each other with respect. The group Player had a song in which they said "I want to live for half a century and be a hundred when I die"...... that works. I wish I could say I have made some bad choices in regard to relationships, but truth is I haven't made any choices for a while. I got busy with life and my business, blinked and a couple of years have passed. It gets kinda hard to write something here that is different from the profile you just looked at or the next one you're going to read. Bottom line is I am a nice, decent looking, caring, compassionate , romantic guy that is looking for someone to share life (and a few sunsets) with. I am also good with my hands ( can fix anything from a leaky faucet, to rebuilding a vintage Ferrari, and can even give a decent massage) Also love animals (have cats) and kids (have nephews and a niece). I live in Carlsbad with my two wonderful children, a 16 year old son and 18 year old daughter. Daily exercise has become a major part of my life such as hitting the gym, runs on the beach, basketball, bicycling and so on.
