Date a man from California, United States. There are so many things I enjoy doing besides laughing that tell my story so here is a small tidbit about what I'm all about... First off I am an avid outdoor adventurist and that doesn't mean hanging out at the park which I do but I'm into hiking, serious backpacking and some good bike riding. When it comes to swimming however I need a floaty!
I work hard and I play hard but over the years I've also learned how to relax as I do a lot of reading and putting around the house such as gardening.
I'm looking for a woman who isn't afraid to be themselves and is secure with who they are and has dreams and goals they're moving forward to. I'd like to find a special woman that we can share our lives "lifting" each other up to heights only dreamed about.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I'm laid back and enjoying life as much as I can. I love my work, but I need time away to do fun stuff and would like some company.
This would be enough for me but they want more, just to complicate things.
Date single man from California, United States. Friends first, do you know Jesus, attend church on a regular basis! Do you love the outdoors, enjoy cycling or walks on the river trail. Love to barbe que and cook. If our friendship goes further, I will be doing the cooking and barbequing ! I also enjoy fellowship and studing the Bible. Attending church together would be a more positive step to our friendship.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Hi There-
My name is Shaun Elijah. I am healthy and young for my age. I don’t smoke or use drugs. I try to eat pretty good, lift weights and get a fair amount of exercise etc.
I was married for about 10 years and have a super wonderful daughter from that marriage that I love very much. Mandara has just turned 20. She is in her 2nd year at the University of Austin, TX,
I guess you could call my political views mostly conservative but I can understand some of the concerns liberals have. I just don’t agree with most of their ideas on how to fix those problems. Unlike a lot of men I am a good communicator. I enjoy discussing any deep issue or subject with my woman.
I am also very romantic and sensual. Im honest and totally faithful to the woman I love. I’m into many different types of music and prefer being outdoors where its wild and free. Right now I have only one significant problem in my life. I don’t have that special woman I need to make life GOOD.
I’m looking for a friend first, leading to a “forever marriage” with a sweet, kind, highly romantic and sensual one-man woman. A woman who truly needs a man in her life to love and be loved by. Not looking for a modern, independent, feminist, super-chick. Just a kind, sweet, simple lady. Maybe you have been hurt deeply by a prior relationship(s) or maybe you've had a wonderful prior relationship history.
Either way we know that a great, healthy, & rewarding relationship requires work. Daily love, honesty, communication and understanding, And yes sometimes compromise.
Hope you give us a chance. If the "fireworks" aren’t there for us, maybe we can at least be friends?............but hoping for a lot more......
Date a man from Redding, United States. I have done many things in my lifetime, too many to talk about here but love to be spontaneous and enjoy the company I'm with. Life is too short to waste time. Many more things I need to do. My bucket list is only half full!
Meet a soulmate from Redding, United States. ...I have certainly led an eclectic life. So what does this mean? To me it means that instead of simply being swept along by the current, I have chosen to seek out and explore different people, places, and things. They say life is a journey, not a destination. Well, to quote the Grateful Dead, "Lately it occurs to me: What a long, strange trip it's been."
I'm comfortable in my own skin. I know I'll grow wherever I'm planted. I've lived in big cities, small cities, the 'burbs and rural. Crowds or solitude, it's all good. For years I have been accumulating diverse sensations and experiences, (although I didn't know it at the time) now it is time to stop and apply what I have learned. I have made my peace with the world; and now I seek to cultivate a successful relationship.
...I came out of a big city, very blue collar, ethnic tradition just outside of Boston; was raised by factory workers who insisted that I know my Shakespeare, play a musical instrument, take art and *gasp* dance lessons as a kid. Walking to school with either a trombone case or an art case got me a few butt kickings. Not so good for the self-confidence and ever-important self-esteem! So to compensate I suppose, I subsequently became an ice hockey goalie and spent 25 years in the Marines. I’m much better now, thank you for asking.
...I do all of the important things pretty well: the loyalty, honor, integrity stuff. Not so much at the superficial stuff. I don't enjoy small talk. Not because I can’t do it, but because I generally choose not to; it simply bores me to tears. Wanna talk? Then let's jump into the deep end of the pool! Why talk about nothing when there are so many interesting, substantial things to talk about? Life's too short to waste on small talk. The good news is that I am fascinated by almost anything; sometimes so much so that I spread myself too thin, “Jack of all trades, master of none” and all that. (Right now I am pondering whether I am using semi-colons correctly)
...I can never get enough information! Insatiably curious about people, the world, life! I usually have about 5 books going at a time. Non-fiction mostly. History and biography, especially anything pertaining to the early post-founding period of our nation. Also Philosophy, Classics, the list goes on and on. I have never gotten more than a chapter or two into a self-help book. The prose is usually so awful...pedantic. I think you can get more self-help out of a history or biography book.
...I suppose I am best categorized as a non-intellectual thinker. Picture a guy who works with his hands all day, comes home and plinks around on the piano for a bit, reads for a bit, then wants to talk about the meaning of life instead of watching South Park or a basketball game. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
...I've had such a great run...seen most of America and a fair chunk of the world. I maintain an almost childlike sense of wonder about the littlest of things. I get positively goofy around animals. But I gotta tell ya, when I see some of the stuff that goes on in this world...sometimes...just sometimes...I simply can't muster up the "suspension of disbelief" necessary for cheerfulness. Maybe it's just a guy thing. LOL!
...You may have noticed that I haven't said anything about what I am looking for in a partner. Hmmmm...As the saying goes, I can't explain it, but I'll know it when I see it. However, it starts with this: It is so important for partners to be peers. This is paramount. Also, I believe heartily in the saying: If you are still the same person you were 20 years ago, you've wasted 20 years.
....Please excuse the verbosity, but we're not 20 anymore, and the discovery phase should be as complete as possible. (If you are looking for the enigmatic, International Man of Mystery, then I'm not your guy)
Ta Ta for now!
