I'm intelligent, with a mind that has always lent itself to storing an incredible amount of esoteric information and trivia, and if I concentrate really hard I can even balance my checkbook. I stay active every day --- even if it's just long dogwalks around town --- and can still fit into the same pants I wore in high school. (No comment, please, on my fashion sense!) I am intensely loyal to my friends; I don't have many, but those I do have I would do anything for. (They're worth it, too!) I am more comfortable in a flannel shirt and jeans, but I do clean up fairly well when the occasion demands. My life experience thusfar has produced someone who can fix a carburator, saddle a horse, furl a sail, and write a fairly decent short story or sonnet, but don't ask me to explain the intricacies of your stock portfolio. (Since when is "IRA" something to do with stocks and portofios? Where MY people come from, they carry Tommy guns and speak in a thick brogue! LOL) I love long, intense conversations peppered with piercing, hysterically funny quips, and I can blend in with virtuallly any situation, provided I'm not asked to tolerate phony, self-obsessed people for too long. I like anything from funky old coffeeshops to horse trails to opera to ballgames, but I draw the line at tractor-pulls, chewing tobacco, and belt buckles better suited for use as turkey platters. I love old cars, really old movies, musty old bookshops, and the front seat on rollercoasters. I also love the wilderness, but would not consider hunting --- unless the prey is riding loud, fume-spewing snowmobiles. I've been around collies literally since the day I was born, and I try very hard each day to be the type of person my collie deserves as his owner.I would love to meet someone whose intelligence is matched by her sense of humor --- someone who can be both wickedly funny as well as remarkably wise.

I’m naturally happy both in work and recreation. In my real life, I absolutely enjoy my work as corporate teacher and counselor. I especially enjoy the social interaction of my students, associates, and friends. I am also a student in a Master’s program for education. And then there is the meaningful time, a place reserved separately for special people to create memorable moments in your life.
When I’m not working, I look forward to opportunity to escape. I enjoy renovating my Airstream travel trailer, imaginatively taking fantastic trips or just hanging out. Weather permitting; I also enjoy being on my boat for water skiing or just floating. Sometimes, I simply enjoy driving up the beautiful coast line of California, hanging out, walking through the shops, or just parked along the beach taking in the serenity.
Other times, I naturally enjoy being home listening to music, watching videos, or reading.
