Date someone special from United States. I am a widowed professional gentleman who enjoys a quiet cocktail while listening to jazz . I have a witty but gentle sense of humor I have studied French, yoga and drawing in addition to the congas and the cornet. I am widely read and my interests range from astrophysics to Zen. I enjoy dancing, live music, being with nature on my lanai. My favorite musical genres are jazz and standards, including such artists as Andre Previn, Frank Sinatra, Nora Jones, Stan Kenton, Diana Krall and Carlos Antonio Jobim. I work out regularly and I am fit. I am seeking an intelligent and life-loving woman interested in music, dancing, culture, wisdom and kindness. A companion to share a nice glass of champagne or a cappuccino. A good sense of humor also is a big plus.
Meet single man from United States. I'm a young, active 72 year old widower looking for a nice lady who wants to live a quiet life near the beach, do a little traveling both in U.S (I have a small RV ) and internationally and is financially and emotionally secure.
I would love to have a travel mate/coffee mate/playmate/dinner mate/walking mate (you get the idea) and can pay my own way (I love the equality in the U.S. today!). I am great at setting up a relaxed touring route. I have lived in Germany for 7 years in the past and have traveled extensively in Europe. There are still lots of places I haven't been to and many I will always be happy to re-visit (Like Paris, St Petersburg and Prague). I am hoping to go to China and other Asian countries this year some time.
I am a laid back, low key kind of guy (usually - there is always politics of course). I love the casual dress code and don't own a black tie. I do like to go to the Copley Symphony Hall for various events and concerts. In fact, I have a ticket for the Jackie Evancho concert on Feb 22nd. I will wear my Tweed Sport coat and casual pants for that one (hey, this is San Diego!).
I live in South Carlsbad across the street from the South Carlsbad State Beach and I try to go walking and rock hunting there as often as possible. I usually walk about 3 miles every other day there (takes me about 1 hour). I pick up the most colorful and/or unusual small rocks I can find and then put them in a rock tumbler for about a month. They are absolutely beautiful when they are finished! People are usually pretty surprised when they see them and realize they came from right here.
I have two Long Hair Dachshunds (Heidi and Arnee) and one mean as h--- cat, Sami. She just has always had a bad attitude - but hey, she is a great watch cat. I love them all, they are fun little animals.
See you on the beach!
