Date men and women from California, United States. Hi -
I am a fun loving, easy going, pretty normal, active and secure guy hoping to find the last love of my life. Most people say I'm a nice guy- I want most of the things everyone else wants in life - like happiness, health, security, comfort, love, and I like to do the same things most other people in this area like to do, like hiking, biking, sailing, traveling, exploring. Basically, I am looking for the same things in life that you may be looking for. Writing long emails seems like a waste of time to me, and I think the best way to know if we might be right for each other is to just talk on the phone, or meet up and see how we get along.
Meet a man from California, United States. just an average guy looking for a long term relationship. nothing fancy about me--more a stay at home type than out partying. rather watch a dvd or read a book than be running all over town. looking for someone like that.
Date people from California, United States. Finally, at this time in my life I no longer define myself by what I do professionally. With that said, I had a successful career that I retired from and I have been blessed with a small business that I enjoy very much. I have a heart for people and a passion and calling to work with kids. While I stay up with the times, world events, and current thought, I might be described as part throw back to a simpler time when a handshake or a commitment was something to be honored. I have great friends that date back to fourth grade and my two BFFs and I have had each others’ backs for decades. My faith means a lot to me, but it did not come easily. God was patient and waited on a, for the most part formerly, rebellious heart. I don’t like drama, or gossip, and try to avoid people who thrive on chaos. I can be a tad competitive, but I don’t go crazy and can loose with grace. Actually, I only consider it a loss if nothing was learned in the process. I am hoping to meet my best friend and partner. So, who would that be? She will be a woman who has a relationship with God, intelligent, thoughtful and who enjoys staying in shape and a relatively healthy lifestyle. A sense of humor is really important because the great couples that I have seen love to laugh with each other and take life in stride. A little bit of an adventurous spirit would be great and if she enjoyed volunteering once in a while I would be honored to be right there next to her. Does any of that sound like you? If not, friendship is a beautiful thing.
Meet single man from California, United States. Hello, I was educated at Berkeley, S.F. State & Oxford (U.K.). Currently a political science/history professor at a community college, I'm very athletic (completed nine marathons) and spend most summers on multisport trips throughout the United States/Canada/Europe...otherwise a pretty simple life. I'm not very materialistic, drive a Prius and invest more on "experiences" than "stuff." Summer 2010, spent two weeks in Boston/New York...two weeks mt. biking through Oregon Cascades to Crater Lake. Met some great women but never married, no kids, one dog. Often spend weekends in Sierras or Central Coast. I also enjoy a good steak, beer and college football. Summer, 2011 in Gettysburg, PA, New York City and biking thru Italy (Rome/Tuscany).
Ladies with tatoos, body piercings, surgically enhanced or altered body parts or obsessive cell phone addiction should probably look elsewhere....
Date someone special from United States. I believe in honesty and family values, Very dependable and loyal. (I sound like one of my bulldogs!)
Hobbies in no particular order include, camping, fishing, gardening, traveling, golfing, mountain biking and scuba diving. Recently I started playing more golf and I'm not nearly as bad as I remember.
I will take on all types of home improvement projects and have an addiction for power tools. There must be some sort of treatment center for that. I own my home and surrounded with a wonderful group of friends and family. I don't mind cooking in the kitchen and can be found regularly out back by the barbecue.
I'm a morning person and love to get up early to catch the sunrise. I will meet for dinner, drinks, coffee or any combination to see if any chemistry is there. I've never done time in prison regardless of the fact that I'm using a prison photo for my profile.
This someone must like to dress up and go out as well as be comfortable in jeans. Must like to travel and not afraid to venture off to places not yet seen. A good sense of direction is no longer required, that is what a GPS is for.
Life is good but better shared.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I am both an American and a Canadian having lived pretty much equally in both countries, although I was born in the U.S. I am entrepreneur at heart, I have started numerous new businesses and had a wide variety of experiences. Along the way I designed and build or renovated a half-dozen houses including the one I am in now--a simple, cedar and stone, solar-powered home in the middle of the vineyard, surrounded by oaks and madrones, at the top of a mountain with a breath-taking view of wine country.
Now I am a vintner--growing grapes and making wine. I am a simple man. My commute is 20-ft. to the vineyard and 20-ft. to the winery. My four-legged best friends keep me company. I live in paradise!
I dress down in shorts and T's to work in the vineyard and can dress up in my tux for those special occasions. But i am most comfortable outside communing with nature.
I am looking for a woman who shares my values--honesty, loyalty, adventure, imagination, creativity, hard work, who loves to live in the country growing your own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Who loves dogs and nature. Who loves her (our) home and wants to make it better all the time. She has to love to entertain because I love to cook and share my good fortune!
I am a very lucky man who has been blessed with adventure, travel, change, personal growth, a lifestyle as opposed to a job, and friends from around the world. I am searching for someone to share my good fortune.
Date men and women from United States. I'm easy going, confident, funny, and I love life! Aside from my light side, I stand up for the things I believe in. I believe in helping people, especially those that want and need help. Life is about giving, more than taking.
I live in the present and let others live in the past. I try to not second guess myself, and allow myself to be wrong. I move to accomplish the important goals I want, while visualizing the future.
I'm a gentleman. I believe in chivalry, honor, courage, and being a strong man. I'm far from perfect, but I try each day to make myself a better person. I prefer a woman that is feminine, is content with herself and respects tradition.
Materialism is not the rule in my life. Thus, I'm not easily impressed by material possessions. I'm not interested in people that value money over the intangibles of life (love, family, friendship, happiness).
I prefer and enjoy nature, animals, sunsets, and the simple things of life, with minimal complications. I'm very attracted to a woman that likes simplicity and avoids "drama."
I'd like to meet an attractive, friendly, warm, simple, intelligent, decent and loving woman. I want emotional stability. I prefer a woman that values time and wants to live each moment to its fullest; that is forward looking, and can leave the past behind.
You and I want the same things: We want to be on top of the world with each other.
I'm open to new ideas, things, places and your uniqueness. Are you?
Meet a man from United States. It has been a long trip through life. I started out many years ago as a ballet dancer. After dancing for a number of years I went back to school and now I work with plants. I have a large yard which is now mostly fruit trees and vegetables. It had been a lawn. I learned to play bridge several years ago and really enjoy playing. I have also taken up golf and may someday hit the ball straight. I have lived all over. I moved to Holland after high school, then Las Vegas for year, Idaho for several years, Germany for several years. But my favorite is California. I love to camp in the Sierra and fly fish. I used to ski a lot and intend to get back to it. I am looking for someone to be a companion and friend with long term potential.
Date people from United States. Well I re-looked at my profile I decided it was way too serious. So now I am pressing the delete key on the previous serious things expound on what's really important. So if I get off-base, let me know. Now, I am thinking about Profile 3.0.
I live in Ukiah. Previously for a few weeks, my profile said I lived in Sonoma County because I put in the wrong zip code. That actually might be a good mistake because this is a small town with a small-town ambiance. Specifically, just about everybody knows everybody else.
MYSELF: Heck, DanskSvoemmer is as close as I can get in English to DanishSwimmer. I like going places I haven't been before. A few weeks ago I went to British Columbia. I saw big lakes and surprisingly, Canadians. They speak English very well and like many different things-- especially if it has alcohol in it. The Canadian border guards took my car apart to the extent that I didn't know the car actually did come apart at those places. It's a Honda sedan; meanwhile, giant RV's were waved right through. An American on a motorcycle, looked at my car for 5 minutes then turned around went back to the USA. When I was up there, I was ready for Sasquatch-- I kept my camera out-of-focus the whole time.
I look forward to meeting someone cool. Have relaxed conversations and be relaxed overall. Go on a day trip and be relaxed. Then after relaxing, relax.
The basics are that I am retired from ATT and I do swim a lot. But my personality type is that I am pretty low-key, good-natured friendly. I've got tons of friends and, if you have dry humor, communication would happen quickly. Irony is a key word. I try to keep sarcasm out of my vocabulary, but skepticism keeps creeping in--in a good way. I try to be polite; good manners were taught in my family. I have a lot of male friends We all grew up in the same neighborhood, I still talk to almost all of them. Imagine, 12 eight-year old boys all with the same strange stories. Then imagine, the stories are all true. I try not to take things too seriously, that's the main problem with adulthood, too often, things are very serious. If something is new to me, then I have an open mind about it.
I have a lot of female friends too. They like me.
Conspiracy theories crack me up. One friend I keep coming up with new ones that keep getting better. Especially, how warm can the earth and it's inhabitants really get? Don't worry about it, the Free Market will take care of it--just like it always does. I try not too get absorbed by the Internet. But there are some strange things out "there". The latest I heard is that there is a 2 Kilometer crystal tower on the moon, but, unbeknownst to the scientists of the world, nobody noticed until recently. However, NASA has photos of it, go figure. The Right-Wing Extremist-Kooks really DO spook me. Their theories get very strange...except they're armed, stocked up, locked loaded. Don't bother spending time looking it up, take my word for it, unless you're as concerned as me. I guess I'm drifting off-course.
It's difficult for a dude to say what he likes day-to-day. Well heck, we don't think about it that much. It would be nice to meet someone who would take the day trips, point out the interest points, discuss the interest points have a good time. Two adults can decide from there what they each have in common.
This Profile is a work in progress. I will be trying to think of things to paint an overall picture of myself. Recently, I saw a very short profile on this site--maybe I'll try that next. One thing I can say is that it seems much tougher to meet people than it used to be. My experience is also that it takes a little time for men and women to get to know each other. Then get used to each other. I am not really sure Match.Com fits that description, but it's a place to start.
Meet single man from United States. Burner since 2009. Published first Science Fiction Book "Curiosity" in May 2012 and am preparing to release sequal "Shattered Memories" by end of June. Teaching at ITT Rancho for 22 years, said I would leave when it stopped being fun and I still look forward to going to work each day. I am a large guy who has finally started to melt, lost 30 and have a lot to go. I am fortunate to have parents who have been married for 60 years, seeing them walking hand in hand with a cane in their other hands always brings a smile to my face. A touching movie, anime or song lyric will also make me smile and yes, even cry. So far my social life has been limited to getting together with friends who treat me like family and members of the burner community who are always striving to make people feel welcome no matter how different they may think they are. I am hoping to meet someone who likes to laugh, is playful, imaginative and smart. The book definition of relationship has me at a loss for what I'm looking for, my hope is to find a friend who enjoys having me around. Someone who trusts me and who I can trust to share thoughts and feelings with without reservation.
