Date a man from United States. So I've been offered a opportunity to run a company in Los Angeles and the kids and I will be moving there later this Summer. I'll miss the DC area but this is a great opportunity for me and the family. So lto make a ood situation perfect, metin a companion would be wonderful. So a bit about me:
I am open minded and try to be accepting of all people. Realizing the Golden Rule as one tenet in life, I have made my philosophy to subscribe to what I call it the first derivative of the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as they would have done unto them”. That means one needs to take time to understand the other person in the relationship. A bit more work, but I find it works much better… So as for this site, yes I do read profiles.
When I take my daughter to the Mall, I realize there’s not much in there that interests me anymore. I’m most interested in associating with the living elements in my life right now. I have enough stuff. Incidentally, she is my sixteen year old and she and her younger brother (15 years old) live with me most of the time.
I find being outdoors helps me better connect with who I am. As a youth organization volunteer I spend many of my weekends camping and hiking. Great way to connect with my younger son, BTW… Strange as it may sound, I actually enjoy weeding and cutting the lawn as well.
I have an eclectic taste for music, although I must confess I do change the radio station once I drop the kids off to school in the morning. Not much into rap or hip-hop… All the same my kids actually like Clapton, Billy Joel, and even ZZ Top. So I must be a pretty good salesman in that regard.
I prefer beer to wine, but in reality I drink lemonade most of the time. I prefer lakes and mountain trails to the beach, but wouldn’t waste a moment’s breath on choosing which direction to go on any given weekend.
I don’t watch TV, but I do have Netflix and must confess when I do sit down I’m a documentary junkie. A couple of interesting documentaries; one on India (The Story of India) and the other on China (Wild China) were especially fascinating. I’ve worked and traveled in Europe, ad this new job will afford me the opportunity to travel in Asia.
I keep my radio dialed on NPR (Well except for the drive to school in the morning…) I read my news on the Internet.

So to begin, I am a highly intelligent man - creatively. emotionally and analytically -who is also pretty wise and world-and-people savvy.
