I grew up in England, lived in Japan for a few years, and been in the Bay Area for about 15 years. I like multi-cultural, well traveled people.
I am new to this world of on-line dating. I'm pretty sure I don't know the rules, but that's OK, cos I never was much for rules anyway :)
I believe in our dichotomies and like to spend time with people who are interested in both sides...not just one.

I am spontaneous, have a dark sense of humour (what can I say, I'm English), genuinely enjoy my life and the people in it.
I'm not looking to fill a void - I am outgoing, usually rather busy and my life is great. So, I' not desperate to jump into a relationship, but I'm open to the possibility of getting to know someone, who might turn out to be a fabulous addition to my life and who shares theirs with me. I love to hang out with smart, witty, fun and passionate people, so...you?

I sometimes feel like life can be a series of IF...THEN...ELSE...OOPS.....expressions, but I nearly always look on the bright side of life (feel a song coming on?). My glass is always half full (actually for a good red I really hope that's true!).
Happy things for me include: delicious food, and great wine; dancing; learning new things; the view from the top of the mountain (and the feeling you get when you realize you got down it without breaking a leg); all things furry and fluffy; fabulous shoes; my children; and people who challenge me and/or make me laugh. Not necessarily in that order :)
