Meet single man from San Leandro, United States. seasoned life and love for adventure, love quiet hours together, and times on the town, no in-laws, kids or dogs, when we do not need them. like to go to tahitti, haven't been there yet. would love to take you with me
Date people from San Leandro, United States. August 2011 update: Been off Match for 9 months now, but they still allow browsing of profiles and pictures. I get notifications that e-mails have been sent, but I'm not allowed to view them. So trying to communicate with me thru Match is probably a waste of your time. With minimal ingenuity, I think you can figure out an e-mail address for anyone who has a Match username.
(Nov 16 2010) In the unlikely event that you are viewing this, please note that I am no longer a subscriber to Match.com. This profile is being displayed as though my account were. I cannot view or respond to any e-mails. If you feel slighted because Match is giving you less than what you bargained for, you might want to talk to them about this.
----------------------
September 16, 2010, was scheduled to be my last day, but moments before going off the air at Match forever, I received an urgent personal call from the President of the Internet, who begged me to stay on for an extra month. Apparently, there are some profiles and pictures that still need to be looked at. So being the good sport that I am, I decided to stay on for one (1) additional month. I was able to reactivate just in the nick of time and then canceled my subscription again. So I will now be off the website for good as of October 16. That’s it. The final day. And I mean it this time.
-------------------
(August 15, 2010): Women in real life seem to be more interested in me. So my final day at Match is September 16. Last chance for us to talk via Match is September 16 (Now October 16).
I wish I had got rid of my “Top 10 Things You Should Know about Me” profile a long time ago. I thought it was somewhat original when I wrote it. OK, I stole the idea from Letterman. But it seemed somewhat original for Match at the time. Over the last few years, I’ve noticed several women using the same idea in their profiles. Not sure what happened there. Maybe I thought of something that had been done many times before. There were other reasons to junk that profile, such as, a lot of things have changed for me.
I should add that I’ve been intrigued and amused by many of your profiles. If I had to do it all over again, I would basically say this about myself: I’m independent and self-sufficient. If you’re the same, that would be a good thing. I’m not looking to accompany anyone on all their excursions or be a financial support person. Nor should you expect anything like that from me. I'm also not -- like many men -- a great listener. I do want to talk to you and get to know you, but if you're the type that thrives on non-stop talking, it's probably not going to work for us. I’m 5'11", 170 lbs., and pretty much fat free. I don't have wall-to-wall muscles, but I'm definitely in shape. Or so I'm told. I mention this not because I think looks are of great importance, but the checkbox choices for describing yourself at Match are limited. I'm not looking for perfection, but if you hike a lot (like I do), or regularly do some other type of exercise that helps keep you in shape, that would be a good thing. You should probably know that I have a modest home that I’ve never remodeled because I just don’t care enough...... OK, if you're still with me after that one, I’m self-employed, financially comfortable, but don’t work as hard as I could or should. Actually, I do work a lot, but much of it is volunteer work or done on a reduced-fee basis. I’ve had several long-term relationships over the years. Never got married and don’t have any kids, that I know of. At least, there are no pending paternity lawsuits, that I know of. Hope that doesn't imply anything bad about me. I should add that I don’t relish the role of being a step-father. I like all animals, especially dogs. Maybe not cats so much. I have a couple of current pictures if you’re interested.
Meet men and women from San Leandro, United States. I got the "you're so handsome, funny and smart, but my life is just a wreck" e-mail a few days ago, so I'm back. I didn't want to be back, but, you know, we beat on like boats against the current.
I fit virtually all the buzz words that keep coming up on these sites. I'm trustworthy, loyal, kind, honest, responsible. That takes care of the Boy Scout part. I get the funny and handsome thing pretty regularly. (One woman said that I look like a Polish ax murderer in that first picture, but most everyone tells me I look better in person. Absurd. I'm not Polish.) I've been told I have a great jaw crease. Imagine that. I don't know what my jaw crease IS. Others have called me all man; a geeky stud; a sweet, quiet guy with a great sense of humor; and that I smell nice. One said that I had a geeky jaw crease that smelled nice, but I think she missed her meds that day.
I "take care of" myself (gym, dojo, yoga), athletic (former rock climber, backpacker, martial artist, x-country skier) and have work I enjoy. I don't smoke, do drugs, drink to excess or beat people up. I'm single. I have all my hair. You should, too. No, seriously. I'm pretty strong, but I’ve studied bonsai and brush painting. I was a Registered Nurse, but I have changed careers to landscape design/construction and stone masonry after even more education. I read everything from Irving to Rushdie to Robbins. I’m a big guy—6', 195 lbs.—and I practice Aikido, the art of peace. As Ram Dass said, "After all these years of meditating and such, I haven’t lost my neuroses, but I know what they all are." I like that. I love the outdoors. My music tastes are all over the world map. I like to cook, especially with and/or for someone.
What I’m looking for: someone intelligent, strong, creative, fit, adventuresome, sensual, well read, and open minded.
Two friends have told me I needed to get new glasses that will make me irresistible to women, and I've done that. (Well, it hasn't exactly worked like that.) I kinda liked the Harry Potter look, though. Now I need to find someone to take a picture.

Date someone special from California, United States. I am looking for a good friend and companion to do things with and share experiances. what makes me laugh is good company and a funny movie. my social life is a little low key right now. I was married for 38 years have 3 children
Meet people from California, United States. Overall, I am basically a happy, fun loving person who enjoys the companionship of others, good food, music, wine and travel.
Family means a lot to me. I have only one son and one granddaughter who live in NY. Everytime I see a picture of my grandchild, it just brings tears of joy to my eyes. I am so very grateful to have such a wonderful family. I try to see them as often as possible. Recently, I have put out resumes for some temporary jobs in NY. I wouldn't mind the summers there but would not like to live there during the winter.
I am very passionate about the environment and struggle to maintain an organic garden and only use environmentally safe products in my home. So, if you throw trash out your car window; you need not respond.
My social life is very active. I have a group of close friends that I usually do things with almost every week. My circle of friends include a music group, a movie group, a dance group, an opera group and now many more due to MeetUp. Meet Up has now extended my circle to include Tai Chi, Yoga on the Labinth, Ukulele, and house concerts.
I am looking for a person who loves life and sees the potential for growth in every situation.
