Date someone special from California, United States. I guess I’ve been really lucky. I grew up with great parents, siblings and have made lots of cool friends throughout my life. I grew up in Kansas, went to college in New Orleans, and then found my way to a great career on Madison Avenue and then lived in Hong Kong for a few years. I’ve been in San Francisco for the past 17 years and think it’s the greatest city in the World.
I’m social and on the outside appear laid-back and relaxed. The truth is, I am probably more complex, ambitious and sophisticated than my “Labrador Retriever temperament” might give off. I have a good sense of humor and try not to take life too seriously. I’m a believer that some of the simplest things in life are also the best…backyard barbeques, nice meals with good friends, a good Sunday night movie, or a drink at the neighborhood bar. But, I also like to take advantage of what this great city has to offer when it comes to great restaurants, live music, outdoor stuff and weekend trips to Napa or Sonoma.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit much of the world including Asia, Australia and New Zealand and also have spent time in Europe and the Middle East. For fun travel, I am kind of a beach guy but also enjoy some of the classic cities in Europe. I love Hawaii, Thailand the Caribbean and love to explore new beautiful places.
I’ve been told I look and act (hopefully in a good way) younger than my age. I’m a pretty good athlete and enjoy being active and outdoors. I bike, golf, play tennis, ski (occasionally), hike, swim, workout and love to pass the football or baseball around when given the opportunity.
What I’m looking for:
Someone who “gets” my dry sense of humor (yes, I’m that funny). You are probably not overly “uptight”, politically correct or take yourself too seriously. I am looking for someone who is the right combination of fun, adventurous and free-spirited, but also confident, independent and comfortable in her own skin. You are probably either a little athletic or at least like to stay in shape.
You should enjoy going out, but don’t need to be on the town constantly and can have fun just “hanging”. You should probably love good food, great wine and be willing to explore the World with me. It would also help if you like dogs (since I plan on getting one soon and need help picking him/her out).
I love kids and see them as being part of my future in some way (they don’t have to be mine, but I’m very open to that possibility).

I enjoy a good night out (being Trinidadian probably has a lot to do with that) just as much as a good bike ride or hike..... although a bike ride after a good night out can be a little more challenging these days! I am curious about life, enjoy constantly learning, and enjoy staying physically fit. I try to swim at least 2-3 times a week, and do yoga at least once a week. When time permits, I would do yoga and/or meditate every day.
