Date single man from Granada Hills, United States. I'm young at heart, looking for the same. Really just a big kid, but raising my own at the same time. I relate best to people who understand that fun is a state of mind, not an activity. I can have fun scuba diving (which I love but haven't done in a while) or sitting next to the right person, without saying a word. The right connection is what makes anything fun.
I have three kids, ages 15, 13, and 11, who I adore and who live with me most of the time. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing a smile on my kids' faces. My kids keep me young.
I am NOT looking for a mother for my kids. I've got the parenting thing down, and I'm good at it.
I wake up in a good mood every day. Really. Every day.
I'm not interested in dating a lot, but in finding that one person with whom I want to spend the rest of my life. A best friend and lover. I'm much more interested in what you have to say, than how you look. But, of course, without that initial attraction, why bother.
I love the water. Just being around water relaxes me. In the backyard by the pool is good. At the beach just watching the waves crash settles me.
Honesty, integrity, loyalty, and compassion are qualities I strive for in myself, and look for in others.
I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine. I have a somewhat off-the-wall sense of humor that tends to take over at times, yet I have the ability to string together a series of multi-syllabic words to construct a reasonable sentence.
I don't take life too seriously. Although we all have our roles to play, we're only here for a short while.
My glass is more than half full. Its overflowing. Usually with wine.
I'm somewhat unconventional both personally and professionally. I'm not better than anyone else, just different.
I'm looking for one person to share a life of fun and passion, yet also understanding that much of life needs to be serious.
I know my pictures are terrible. I'm just not very photogenic. But at least some of them are recent.
Although its sort of a lost art, I know how to be a gentleman. And frequently act like one.
OK, having been asked about religion several times, I'll simply state that I'm the religion of Jim (my name, duh). Be a good person, do the right thing, help people who need help, and good things will come your way. And, yes, I practice what I preach. I actually once helped a little old lady cross the street. As a lawyer I spend a lot of time helping people who can't afford to pay me. Its sorta my way of giving back to the universe for what I have received. I believe in a higher power, just not sure what form that takes.
