I'm a scientist at heart and I have a thirst for knowledge and truth, but also need brainless time to recharge my batteries. Trail and beach running are my favorite stress relievers. I enjoy growing succulents all around my yard.. I'm a father, friend and by profession technologist and an entrepreneur. I am passionate about everything in my life: my son (he's 17), my health, sports (I'm a doer not a viewer), the outdoors, animals, nature the environment, and my home. I live next to the San Dieguito River Preserve along Lake Hodges and I'm fortunate to have a trail that leads to the lake. I love to run with my dog Rusty on the trails. I also paddle, mountain bike, hike, climb, camping, skiing, reading, and exploring this beautiful place in which we live. I realize that I take the pictures so I don't have a lot of me. All the pictures are within the last three years and some this year.
I love to travel and discover new places that become intimate shared memories. Eventually to return to rediscover the romance. I thrive on adventure; anything new and exciting. I'm looking to experience unforgettable times with the right person. (Have you ever hiked Mt Whitney, sailed the BVI, swam in waterfalls in Hawaii?!) Prague is my favorite city in Europe. Venice is a close second. I also enjoy staying home, cooking great food, entertaining, and just plain kicking back in front of a fire and watching a movie or reading a good book.
I grew up on the Gulf and East Coasts. I attended the University of Hawaii (Hilo), lived in Kona, and know the Big Island like the back of my hand. I've lived in SD, since 1981. Graduate degree from SDSU. I just finished my new contemporary "green" home. I've been seqestered here for the last two years rebuilding it after losing it in the '07 wildfires. All is good. I'm ready for my second life!

An avid skier, snomobilier and wanna be hockey player in winter. Swimming, water sking, scuba diving, gardening and biking in summer. I like reading mysteries by Ludlum, Crichton, and Adventure/National Geo mags. Hiking, camping, kayaking, are all on the agenda. I like to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, went to help in Haiti and plan to go to Texas as a volunteer in 2012.
