Date a man from California, United States. I'm not much of a writer; I prefer to communicate verbally, in person if possible. But that's not possible right now, so I'll do my best in writing. I'm a part-time dad; I have one teenager at home with me every other week, the other one is off to college and back for summers. They are a huge part of my life, and I'm looking for someone that is comfortable with that. I'm not looking for help with them, just acceptance. I am passionate about my job, I give it my best. I value a balanced life, but I understand that sometimes you have to go the extra mile to get things done. I believe life is often challenging, although always rich with rewards. I understand you have to work through the challenges to reap the rewards. I have a lot of interests, but learning is the greatest of them all. I like to travel, visit different cultures and see the World from a different perspective, if such a thing is possible. I have lived extensively abroad, and value the lessons I've learned from the experience. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, sailing, skiing, snowboarding, camping or just hanging out at the beach. I want to learn how to surf next, maybe this summer. I enjoy cooking for friends and family. Some of my friends call me "Chef" because I like to cook gourmet food. In my very small way I try to make the World a better place, one small random act of kindness at a time. Hopefully it starts a chain reaction. I enjoy the arts and music, and I host a concert at my house each month. I usually get about 30 to 40 people at the concerts. I workout regularly and also enjoy dancing, it would be nice if we could share some of these interests together. I'm looking for someone that I can accept and love for who they are, and that is willing to work with me to make the relationship work.
Some updates - I haven't held a concert in over 2 years. A new job and 4 remodelling projects at home put a dent into that activity. The pictures are ones I like. Some are very recent, some from the last couple of years. The crazy hair picture is what happens when I let my daughter choose my Halloween costume. We both had fun with it. She had to put the make-up on for me, I was poking my eyes out trying. The most recent picture is the one in a Tux. My first Tux ever, and I loved it. We all dressed up to celebrate this last New Years.
