I'm more of a get in the car and head off on a road trip than jump on a plane and fly off to some exotic place kind of guy, but I'm not averse to longer trips. I've been to Europe twice (though not recently) and I lived and worked in Britain for six months. I still have friends in Britain with whom I keep in contact and whom I see when they come to the United States. I enjoy car/tent camping in the desert (Joshua Tree and the Mojave Desert generally) and in the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley. On these trips, I like to hike and fish.
I am reasonably fit for my age and very active, though I am not a slave to an exercise regimen. On weekends, I'm usually gardening or landscaping, working on my vintage cars and bicycles, or doing projects around the house. I'm handy with home repairs and don't mind tackling those kinds of projects myself. I don't spend my free time laying around watching television or surfing the internet.
All in all, I consider myself a pretty solid guy. People enjoy my company. I'm self-sufficient and independent, and I'm looking for a woman with similar qualities.
