Date a soulmate from California, United States. I guess I live my life always curious about what's around the next corner or what the next day will bring. It's always and adventure and the adventure is all the richer when you have the right person to share it with.
I have to say I hate writing these kinds of things. It's difficult to talk about yourself without coming off as pompous, which I'm pretty sure I'm not. At least, no one's called me pompous that I know of. On the other hand, you never know what those peons are saying behind your back, right?
Anyway, here goes: I'm a very active person. It's a rare time that you'll find me sitting on the couch. I try to keep in shape with cycling, swimming, hiking, etc. and I'm looking for someone who has, if not a similar activity level, at least a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. I'm looking for an optimist. Every day is a good day, when you consider the alternative, and it's better to focus on the positive than to sit and cry in your beer, or coffee or whatever your beverage of choice might be. I like to think that, while I'm nowhere near perfect, I'm usually very tuned in to my partner. My profession requires good listening skills and I don't leave that trait at the office. Oh, and I'm also a die-hard romantic. I know a lot of guys say that, but I truly believe that things like flowers, little gifts and random acts of affection are an essential part of a successful relationship.
Other than the aforementioned, I am looking for a partner who is confident and independent, financially responsible (I spent too many years with someone who wasn't) and capable of giving as well as receiving affection. And what I'm really hoping for is someone is is not afraid for me to look deep into her eyes while she is looking deeply into mine.
