Meet someone special from San Francisco, United States.
I love my kids as I am sure you do - they are numero uno to us. I enjoy nature, nature photography, people, animals, art, dance, the ocean, wind in the face, full glass of wine (or water) - anything to make for a pleasant life. Creative thought and new ideas are my triggers. Presently, Born right here in California, sorry no exotic accent. On the outdoors scene, I enjoy small boat sailing, did some skiing but it's cold up there, batted the tennis ball, raced Porsches, owned a hunter jumper, flew airplanes but never got into fishing and hunting and don't care to start.. Politically, I am middle of the road and go both ways.
I would like to meet a woman who loves and likes herself, is confident and independent yet romantic and able to show affection (in and out of public), one who loves her own private time (and space) and still enjoys the companionship on an interesting and happy mind. One who awakes with a smile and spreads joy throughout her space and who enjoys travel - to all destinations. Wouldn't it be nice to find a travel companion and take the whole summer to - where ever. Even taking a road trip with the cameras and shoot the ocean, beach, sunset, sun rise (with clouds), the geology, the canyons and you.
I do not yet live in the SF area but am planning a move (house has been on and off the market - really a bum time to sell). For now, I live in the foothills which, in itself, is spectacular. If you were to write to me, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Refuse to read Di Vinci Code--
I don't suck all the oxygen out of a room--in a perfect world, you don't either---- I am adventurous -- high energy, but calm--can be funny--stay in shape-- well read--classics, adventure fare--low dining/fine dining--right brained ( I Phone over Blackberry, Canon over Nikon,Whitman over Hess, Roosevelt over the others)--
Friends say I am 'fun', 'funny' and 'loyal', 'in shape',' youthful'--some women would say 'handsome' (I think).
I like off shore places--I like the water-- ocean--brooks--east coast guy--I grew up on the end of Long Island-- consider myself a New Englander-I don't take myself too seriously-- I prefer simple things; say a small intimate place to the Bay to Breakers--A loud, rap blaring, sea of bodies crammed into a restaurant and I'' start to twitch--eventually causing me to find a medicine cabinet to gain rusty razor blades.
I keep my friendships in good repair. I know how to open a door for a woman. You are IT when we are together.
I do pay attention to my body. I do work out five days a week. No offense to anyone, but (between us girls), I figure that if I can stay in shape then it's not beyond the boundaries of permitted aspirations to want my significant other to be on the same wave length.
Loyalty is important to me.
Well, as Teddy R said, "be brief, be sincere, be seated."

Date a soulmate from California, United States. Freedom! I feel fortunate to have attained it at a relatively young age, in great health and with my sense of adventure fully intact. With two wonderful, well educated children off to a great start in life and with the successful sale of my business, I'm now ready to fulfill dreams that have long been deferred, but never forgotten. If you are adventurous, enjoy sharing life with an exciting group of friends and meeting new ones, are turned on by enlightened conversation accompanied by laughter, discovery and maybe a touch of controversy, are curious about the world around you and would like to find a friend, partner, lover and potential mate with similar interests, please read on - and let me know if you think you see a fit.
While not necessarily an extrovert, I thrive on the excitement of meeting new people and sharing new ideas, new experiences, great humor (dry, like a good martini) and great friends. Reading and continuing education are also very important to me, as is daily exercise - I try to do something active every day for the spiritual as well as the physical benefits. Gardening interests me (for reasons that are easy to explain) as do nutrition and the sourcing of our food supply (for similar reasons). I enjoy great food and really enjoy cooking, particularly when it is done as a "team" effort. I'm interested in portions of the art and music worlds and you might want to ask me why.
The adventure of foreign travel has always intrigued me, and now that I have the time, it has become a high priority. Over the years have enjoyed visiting many of the "standard" destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and Central America. That was great, but now I would like to explore them in depth and to really experience what is unique about their food, music, language, culture, history and people. Let's face it - it is time to dust off the list of adventures that we have dreamed of while reading travel columns and National Geographic and to get started now: hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc followed by a celebratory dinner at the Beau Rivage overlooking Lake Geneva; walking the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt; the trek from Mt. Blanc to Nice with several days to "recuperate" along the Riviera; traversing the midlands of England; touring Patagonia (maybe a little fishing), the Andes and the wine districts of Chile and Argentina; the Canadian maritime provinces; St. Petersburg and the Hermitage; cruising Greece, Turkey and North Africa; New Zealand and omigod - let's not forget Asia! For adventures closer to home there is travel to New York City to visit the children and enjoy the theater; skiing the Rockies and Sierras; hiking at Pt. Reyes, Mt. Tam, Bolinas, the Sutter Buttes, Yosemite (gotta do Half Dome again) and Mt. Shasta as well as visiting the wonderful beaches, galleries, wine country (ask me about my special interest here), museums, restaurants & concerts that our Bay Area has to offer.
Thank you for checking out this introduction. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or, better yet, interest in meeting.
Meet a man from California, United States. I am an active, energetic and tolerant man who loves the SF Bay Area. I love and am recharged by nature and the outdoors. Music, many types, especially rock n’ roll/classical, and more, and art are very important to me. Music is a passion for me, as are blue sky days and beautiful sunsets, not to mention starry skies. Any of these have been known to stop me in my tracks. Keeping a positive outlook on life is a natural for me and sense of humor, even in tough times, is central to my personality. I am low key unless circumstances require otherwise.
My job and other responsibilities keep me pretty busy. But I have time and make time to enjoy life. I am looking for someone I can share life’s joys and challenges. I am looking for lady with whom I can share thoughts, feelings, warmth, and intimacy. I am comfortable curling up and watching a good movie at home (or maybe even a great hockey game) but am happier to get out for a walk, a hike, a bike ride or hear some live music. As with most human beings, any descriptions, like these, are far from complete and contain numerous clich?s. I believe that while we can say all kinds of things about who we think we are, the proof is in how we conduct ourselves. Nothing can replace the process of getting to know someone and building a relationship based on trust.
