Date a soulmate from United States. Oh man, I hate this part.
I'm a creative, fun, social guy who enjoys this adventure called life and would like to have someone to share it with. I've traveled extensively, have a wide variety of really interesting life experiences and all of the best moments I've had were *shared*. But will go on adventuring by myself anyway if I have to.
I try to strike a balance between being pretty laid-back, drama-free and tolerant person and yet passionate and soulful in everything I do.
I've been on 6 of 7 continents (still have to go to Africa), have been as high as 18,000' on a mountain, as deep as 160 feet under the ocean, been outdoors in places as cold as -70F and as hot as 126. I enjoy the extremes and absolutely everything in between. :-)
I like most things outdoors - hot springs, camping, skiing, hiking, sailing, boating, swimming, biking, etc. I drive a BMW motorcycle for my daily commute, have an old beat up 4WD truck for heading off-road, and prefer to have convertibles when I have a car, if that gives any indication of my personality. I like the wind in my face and sun on my shoulders.
I like most sports - I play golf and disc golf regularly, used to be a competitive runner (more like a jogger right now, but am just beginning to work on conditioning again), a former softball player, who enjoys baseball, football, soccer, hockey and basketball as spectator sports. I probably shouldn't admit this, but I also enjoy fantasy football, and am good at it. ;-)
Indoors, I love movies, books, live theater, will go to any museum I come across, playing board or card games, noodling around on my guitar or just hanging out in front of a fireplace. I have an MFA in theater and will occasionally direct local theater productions or appear as an actor.
I like most types of foods, enjoy dining out.
I have two cats - one is 16 and the other is 3. Both rescues from the pound.
I like to make others around me smile, am the person people come to when they want advice or a different perspective, and I'm pretty happy with who I am and where I am in life. Just looking for someone special to share the rest of the adventure with!
The most significant thing to say about me is that I was once a special ops medic, which means I can (and will) go to extraordinary lengths to have fun and take care of the people around me.
I believe in creating "mundane magic" every day - taking ordinary moments and turning them into something a little special. I'm not a true new age kind of person, but do believe there is magic and beauty around us all the time. We just have to recognize it to appreciate it.
Looking for... a woman with spark. A great smile. A tender demeanor, but strong. Smart women are really sexy, and someone who is sensual would be most compatible. I like to have my woman in my arms if we're watching a movie or tv, or give each other back/foot massages if we're just hanging out on the couch. I want a passionate lover, a good friend and someone I can work with at this thing called life and relationships.
My ideal woman is a combination of city and country girl. She's a woman...but still knows how to be a girl sometimes too. Looks great dressed up, but not afraid to get dirty. She takes care of herself and is attentive to people around her. I'm honest enough to say that looks and appearance matters - I like women who take care of themselves - and if you're the kind of woman who works out, I promise to show you my appreciation for the fruits of your labor.
I like to keep in shape too - although I have maybe 10 pounds to lose and some toning to do too, so I'm not looking for a perfect woman. Physically - "average" to "fit" is the range I would be attracted to.
It may seem like I ask for a lot - but I give a lot too. I believe in magic and romance, and am a pretty good communicator.
My only deal breakers are anyone who is hard-core into religion, or politically conservative. I like people who have an open mind.
