Date a soulmate from Eureka, United States. Hmmm....I'm a 53 year old, divorced, father of two wonderful daughters. One is a 27 yr old wounded combat veteran with two combat tours in Iraq (just disability retired in Dec 11) and the other lives in Heaven. I'm 6'1, 235, brown hair and blue eyes. I have a serious side that comes out, but only when necessary. I have a great sense of humor (so I've been told) and my match would need the same. Life can be too short and too difficult without laughing a lot. I value greatly the attributes of integrity, honesty and caring for others. Something I saw when still in high school was a film of the, "Duty, Honor, Country" speech that GEN Douglas MacArthur gave at West Point and his words and commitment have been part of my life ever since.
I enjoy many things, but cannot do some of the more extreme activities any more, due to injuries received both as a Soldier and as a police officer. I have never been interested in things like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, bungee jumping or running a marathon, but I will support you in your endeavors! I like concerts, live sporting events, great music (have more than 450 gigabytes of digital music-all kinds), live theater, videos, games and most motorsports, both two and four-wheeled. I raced motorcycles until I was 18 and still enjoy riding all these years later. I will someday write and might even finish the four books I've started writing over the last 15 years. I believe that, in spite of what I've done in my careers, the most important and satisfying thing I've ever done was to be a Dad. My daughter and I enjoy a fantastic friendship and are very close, even though she lives 500 miles away from me. I will be interested in relocating at some point in the near future (perhaps closer to my daughter, but definitely in a warmer, sunnier place than the North Coast).

Have traveled to many countries, but most enjoyed Israel and Honduras. Wouldn't mind living in either of those countries! The people, food, history and culture in both are all amazing... Was baptized in the river Jordan, at the place it is believed that John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Touching the Western Wall in Jerusalem only four months after losing my youngest daughter was a moving experience.

I welcome constructive criticism of my profile. I mean, I'm winging it here and am not sure what topics to touch on. Yes, I've read Venus/Mars, Love Language and Purpose-Driven Life, but still have no idea what you're interested in. In addition to being a multi-tour combat vet, I am also a sensitive father of daughters. My eldest followed me into the service and my youngest was working toward being an attack helicopter pilot. I'm proud that they valued what I did enough to follow me..
