Date someone special from United States. IРІР‚в„ўm grateful for my family; the daffodils I bought today at Trader Joes; and my friend who brought over take-out last evening. I am blessed to have a wonderful circle of friends who know they can count on me. Most weekends are full. Still, I miss having a man to laugh and plan adventures with. IРІР‚в„ўm a good travel companion and like to go to unexplored places. At the right moment beer and a hamburger in a dive can be delightful. I approach the world with amusement and a sense of irony. IРІР‚в„ўm playful but I have a serious side (I was a philosophy major in college). IРІР‚в„ўm rarely bored.
I'm divorced but stay in touch with my ex and my stepchildren. I go to a family reunion every Thanksgiving in the tiny town of Hillsboro, Kansas. I designed the remodel of my house (with the help of a contractor) -- I loved the results but hated going through it. As a girl I learned to sew. (I make Halloween costumes for twin boys every year). Later I took textile and pattern design classes. I like denim and silk equally.
I’m looking for a partner – an educated, thoughtful, kind man. Someone who enjoys life but has done a bit of introspection; someone who picks the high road. I like men who are energetic – even if retired. (If you can’t live without golf, I hope you have some male buddies to play with – except for the walk and the beautiful greens, I just never quite understood the fascination of chasing a little ball around). Education is really important to me and if you have a graduate degree that’s a plus. (On the other hand, if you can fix a faucet, that’s a plus too.)
It’s lovely to have breakfast on a Sunday morning with someone you care about. I can be a little irreverent – but not inappropriate. You could introduce me to your mother.
