Date people from Yucaipa, United States. I am a cerebral individual, but care about people (a feeling type), which is probably why I was not a really good businessman (just OK). I am an idealist and firmly believe in social justice (no tolerance for intolerance). I try to be authentic, but sometimes don't make the grade: I think we all wear a social mask (persona). I am not handsome, but certainly not ugly (interesting perhaps?). My sense of humor is good and sometimes reaches back into the sophomoric (but not fart jokes). Incongruous humor and satire are good. I am smei-iconoclastic as well.
I have been around the block a few times. I am a combat veteran (no PTSD), spent 6 years on active duty and 18 in the reserve. I was a special forces officer, but am certainly not Delta Force material (i.e., not that good, just OK). I went to school on the GI Bill getting bachelors and masters degrees (civil engineering) and have a 2nd masters in psychology. I am semi-retried (do some consulting work to bring in a few dimes) and working on a PhD, which is kicking my butt. I hope I can hang in there...
I would like my date to be able to talk about philosophical stuff, but also to be able to laugh, even at herself (self-parody is OK, I think). What used to be fun for me no longer is, e.g., partying. I would rather put on my pack and hump up the trail to the peak of San Bernardino Mountain, watch the sun go down, and greet him appropriately when he returns.
I honor the moon as well (a metaphor for femininity) and wish I had gotten a T-shirt that says "I am a girly-man." I do not have to pove my masculinity; rather I admire the feminine principle, the strengths of which have been obscured by 10,000 years of patriarchial abuse. The Universe requires balance.
I have done a lot ofthings in my life and it has been good. I have plenty of good years remaining, but I left behind aspirations for the corner office 20 years ago. I would still like to contribute to the Higher Good and learn other things, like how to handle a horse.

Date someone special from Yucaipa, United States. I’m energetic and a friendly, I have an outgoing personality. My frank and honest approach is tempered by my big heart. I work out daily either running or going to the gym and lifting weights. I laugh a lot and really enjoy life. Some of my favorite activities are skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding, and jet skiing or just going out for a nice intimate dinner. Don’t let my age fool you. I look and act at least 10 years younger and I am not a couch potato!
I’m a good at communicating and I listen well. I’m a very positive person and I really want someone who thinks the glass is half full not half empty. I’m good at finding what I call “the sweet spot”. In other words I like to make lemon aide out of lemons and I’m good at it!
I’m very kindhearted and unrestrained. I’m usually wide open and enjoy getting back this same kind of unrestrained warmth. I love to hold hands and cuddle; yes I’m a good kisser and I like that too. I am friendly and full of life. I’m strong in sophisticated situations as well as just kicking back and relaxing in a casual informal environment.
I love a warm home and family environment. I want someone who is what I call a “weaver” A home needs that warm woman’s touch.
At work I make the environment livelier and the banter more interesting, so that time moves swiftly and the experience is a happier one. The lord gave me a fabulous business mind which I don’t let go to waste. I’m proud of my accomplishments as well as my business ethics and standards. I’m not intimidated and I will build you up not tear you down. If you want to work great go for it and I will support you 100%. If you don’t want to work outside the home I’m fine with that too.
When I take on a task at work or at home, I’m reliable; I get the job done. In an organized way, I’m very good at defining the goal, laying out a plan, I will figure how long the task will take, and get to work I’m "solid and dependable ".
But…. and this is important I’m not a slave to the plan. I’m committed to it, but not chained to it; the connection is more casual and informal. I know that sometimes "the best laid plans" fall off the tracks; when this happens, Hey I clean up the train wreck and start over, undeterred of course.
Though not happening often, sometimes plans change, I’m okay with it. In fact, sometimes I change the plan. It's too nice of a Saturday to finish organizing the garage. Let's go for a bike ride instead. True, the next rainy Saturday will likely find me back in the garage, but for now the work can wait. I love being spontaneous.
At home and at work, people know they can rely on me. I take great satisfaction in knowing that people think of me as disciplined and responsible, but I also know that I have something of a free spirit in me, and when this spirit moves me, off I go, following the impulse of the moment. I am rightly proud of my work ethic, but I also enjoy my willingness to lay the tools down, crank up the music and play like a child.
Each one of us encounters some hard times; we get caught off guard, or feel a sudden swell of emotion, whether from fear, joy, anger or sadness. Life is just like this sometimes. I know that because I’m an emotional person. Some people go to great lengths to keep their emotions under wraps, to keep a stiff upper lip, to not let others know what emotions they are feeling. But that is not me. I embrace all of life's emotions, both the joys and the turmoil that life brings my way. I turn to God when I really need direction. It’s nice to sit and talk to God and just turn over my problems to him. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not perfect and I do make mistakes but nobody will try harder than I do.
