I feel obligated to be blunt here and say that I am 63 years old but work hard at staying young. Worked and lived in three different counties thats counties not countries and I am not looking for a friend. I have that in my dog Elvis. I hate dating and would prefer a monogamous relationship with someone who is passionate, demonstrative, my friend, confident, my lover who's wants and cares for me as much as I do them. I ride dressage, golf, tennis and anything on or in the water, and riding Harleys. I love boating and live in a private lake community. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and am pretty good at it , if I do say so myself! By the way, I do happen to make the World's Best Chili Verde!
There's nothing better than a nice Harley ride through a picturesque place. I love to laugh and have a silly but fun sense of humor, sometimes dry quick witted. So make me laugh and I'll give you the world! I'm still a little girl at heart and have a sense of childlike playfulness. I still like to rough house and tickle.
I'm widowed after 38 years of being happily married. But I'm ready to move forward into the next chapter of my life. I know that I'm capable and willing to love again! I believe that people's life paths cross purposefully and so I'm willing to put myself out there. I also feel that any relationship should start with a friendship. That being said, I'm open to see where that may lead me. I do enjoy a great glass of wine socially but I do not smoke or have any addictive behaviors (except for maybe chocolate) lol. I like assertive men, with a sense of take charge but also find it charming when a man is in touch with his feminine side and not afraid to show his sensitivies and affections. Someone who is comfortable enough with himself to actually like flowers, cooking, gardening, etc. I'm attracted to men who are intellegent and can teach me things. Even though I'm an independent, self reliant women, it is still important to me that I feel protected and safe with my partner. I'm come from old family values where it's important that the man's role is still of protecting and providing a sense of safe well being, support, and understanding for his mate and family. My father was a Colonel in the Air Force and I was blessed by having travelled the world, so I still have a fondness for travel and adventure and would like a partner to join me to seek out fun and exciting things to do. As a result of my military upbringing I've learned a sense of dedication, commitment, loyalty, and integrity.
I feel it is very exciting when a man absolutely craves me and isn't afraid to show me (ODA). I adore a man who has a sense of quiet calmness when things get tough in life and can soothe me with that presence during life's difficult times.I love all kinds of music, rock, jazz, and classical. Andrea Bocelli's Desert Under the Sun performance and CD is the best! I enjoy the arts and theatre live entertainment or performances. My family is very important to me and we are close and get together often for BBQ's, birthday, and special occasions. I'm very active so don't let my age fool you, I look, act, and feel at least 10-15 years younger, 60's going on 40's! I adore my American Eskimos puppy and I'm an animal lover and advocate at heart. I've been known to stand in front of oncoming traffic to assist a mother duck and ducklings cross the road at my own peril. I have many hobbies I enjoy; gardening, interior and floral design, riding dressage, skiing and boating, riding my Harley, and I like to give back by helping my daughter with her foundation for at risk children in the South Bay area. I do love a quiet evening in my cozies watching a good movie with the fireplace roaring, a nice glass of Merlot and even better during a terrific rain storm.
