While I have spent most of my professional life in the high tech, I enjoy getting immersed in different areas and topics eg. economics, politics, meditation and the arts. I am an avid reader. Lately, I started working on different modes of hand writing and calligraphy. I have come to believe that there is no greater aphrodisiac to life than learning.
As time passes I have come to appreciate all the more Barbara Streisand's song
"People". Communicating with people plays such an important role in our life be it
through understanding ourselves or another person. It is the clarity, sincerity and honesty of communication which provide the pillars to self understanding , relating to people and learning.
I have learnt to appreciate the beauty and limitation of my body. The body, like a carefully aged bottle of wine, must be taken care of. I go for daily exercises including meditation, running, weight lifting and swimming.
So, given all the above what do I do with the rest of my time? Though I am retired , it feels like there are more things I want to do than available hours in the day. Just finished fixing my new town home including a new kitchen and bath. Two to three evenings a week I go for Argentine Tango classes, and one evening I go for Israeli dancing. I attend interesting classes and lectures, and meet with friends for lunch and talks. It is fun to exchange recent jokes and reflect on the crazy events in the world
To keep my brain from stagnation I do a lot of reading. Follow interesting book referrals from NPR. I am looking forward to reading Jim O'Neal's ( chief economist for Goldman Sachs) recent book , and Daniel Kahaneman's book about thinking.
I am very much into music, particularly classical music. I am also looking forward to getting back to piano practice, and have a list of pieces I would like to work on.
I enjoy walks and nature and love to go on hikes. I have done a lot of traveling and hope to do more with a new partner.

I am taking care of my brother because he needs me. I am his full time live in caregiver with my own private apt. attached to his house. He is virtually deaf and blind and cannot walk without my help and his walker. I am retired and enjoy watercoloring (some of my recent work is shown here).
Being a full time caregiver prevents me from being husband material but if a close and loyal companion is who you seek, perhaps we should meet?
I enjoy a good bottle wine, and with a little notice, get help for my brother so we can walk on the beach or take a romantic trip to napa for some great wine tasting and whatever mischief we get into.
