I hope to find in a spouse someone who is supportive of my calling as an artist, particularly as an Iconographer for the Church. I am an Orthodox Christian and my faith is central to my existence! While it is not a prerequisite that my spouse be Orthodox, I hope that I can find someone that is of like mind and spirit, who is God fearing and loves the Lord!
I love life! I am a romantic at heart, perhaps even a hopeless romantic! I am a person who loves art, beauty, nature, animals, and all of God's creation. I also love poetry and literature- including the study of the Bible. We are helping ourselves when we attend to all of humanity and God's creation! We must give of ourselves in helping others if this world is to be a better place! I value, on one hand, solitude, meditation, and prayer, while on the other hand, listening to music, going to concerts, museums, and to movies. I love the outdoors; hiking, nature walks, camping, as well as traveling and sight seeing! I would not only like to find someone who shares these interests but who is also responsible, organized, and hard working (perhaps, at least, more so then I in order to spur me on to courageously face the world and it's challenges). Although my friends think I am often social and extroverted, I am also introverted, intuitive, as well as sensitive, and perceptive.
Along with painting my other interest is in herbs, alternative medicine and diet. While I am struggling with Osteoarthritis I find that proper diet and alternative therapies, rather then just drugs and conventional treatments such as surgery (although they serve their purpose), are most beneficial and advantageous to the improvement of ones health. In my studies of alternative therapies I am not only able to help myself but have the opportunity to bring this awareness to others. I also find that such a disability only calls for the importance of increased physical activity. Therefore, I enjoy getting around on my bike as well as working out at the gym as much as possible. Getting out in the fresh air, being around positive, happy, and joyful people, while helping others to the best of my ability, is the best medicine for my well-being! I need not only a spiritually centered and devout person in my life but also one that is confident, positive and happy with a good sense of humor!
