I LOVE the outdoors, from playing in the dunes at the desert to a beautiful boat ride along the bay and a lot of in between. I love to travel, but I really love to find the best things just hanging around town. Let's be honest, traveling really has become a drag unless your sailing over the deep blue sea.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so a champagne brunch or even a home cooked one on a rainy Sunday morning is always an option.
I am a HUGE football fan. Come football season I plan my Sundays around who is playing that day. I CAN lay on a couch and watch football all day if they are the right games. I know for some of you this may sound to good to be true..... Can you be that special someone who can pry the remote out of MY hands August through Feb ??? And I found something very romantic about a rainy day Sunday when you have someone to share this with!!!
I have a very close circle of friends. We do a lot of things together so I am looking for that special someone who loves to socialize, mix well with others and can carry on conversations about anything and everything. Meet someone special from United States. My mother taught me to cook and bake from scratch. I used a flour sifter and a rolling pin to produce fabulous tasting cakes, pies, biscuits, and delicious breads. I remember stirring milk and sugar on low heat, eager for it to boil so I could move to the next step but if I turned the heat up, the mixture would scorch. If I stopped stirring, the mixture would clump. This simple mixture formed the basis for almost every special desert my mother taught me to make and if I ruined it, the desert was ruined.
Over the years I discovered that San Luis makes bread that tastes better than anything I can make from scratch. RalphРІР‚в„ўs makes a better lemon meringue pie than I ever have. For a long time I stopped baking and when I did bake, I cheated. I added a little buttermilk to cake mix and sour cream to frosting and it tasted just as good as homemade. What did it matter that my food had mystery ingredients I couldnРІР‚в„ўt pronounce.
In the last few years I have begun to bake again. It is one of the most relaxing activities that I know. They sell cake flour already sifted. A mixer works much better than a wooden spoon. IРІР‚в„ўm cooking a lot of great meals in my great grandmotherРІР‚в„ўs cast iron skillet. Yes, it is a lot of work and it takes time and patience, but I enjoy it, what I make is better quality than anything I can buy and I know what I am eating.
I feel that we modern singles don’t expecting to do any work when we find that person we claim we are looking for. We expect instant relationships that we can just heat and eat. We are in such a hurry to make that special desert that we scorch the basic foundation of the relationship. We neglect to stir and end up with clumps. When our relationship grows cold because something else diverted our attention, we throw it away and go back to the supermarket because we haven’t invested any time, effort or emotion into it. “We weren’t right for each other” appears to be the catch phrase of the era and serial monogamy appears to rule the day. “This” is getting harder for me to justify. For me, this is the definition of insanity.
