...I have 2 adult daughters who live in the area. My 13 yr old daughter and I live in our home. Yeah I am an older mom but she keeps me young and busy.

A little more about me: My life has been full of change and experiences, many of which are unique. I joined the Navy in 1986, was a Supply Officer until 1995. I have seen alot of the world and have even sailed some of the "seas". I left active duty service in 1995 because I was tired of all of the moving and wanted to come back to the Golden State (excuse me, I mean the broken State) to be with family and settle down. I married briefly in 2004 and it sadly didn't last (only 2 yrs) for reasons I won't bore you with right now.
I am an active person who seeks the qualities of kindness, optimism and honesty in a partner. I love hiking, cycling, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and even just sitting down and reading a book. I also like to garden and cook. I am a dog lover and am lucky enough to have adopted two wonderful dogs. I like to say that the dogs have rescued me instead of the other way around. I am am open to dating again, with the belief that if a person finds the "right person" a partnership is a great thing.
Had wanted a family of my own with children. I had contemplated adopting on my own but after much serious reflection I decided that I would not pursue this avenue without a partner. So...while children aren't a requisite addition to my life, I would certainly welcome anyone's children, grandchildren, neighbor kids (hah!) or even anyone's pets into my life if that was the scenario presented.
