Meet someone special from California, United States. Didn't anticipate that I would be looking for love at this stage of my life but life isn't predictable. I am content with my life which is full to the brim and more, but miss the icing on the cake that a relationship brings. I'm not looking for an intense, all or nothing type of relationship, just someone to share movies, dinners, short trips, laughs and conversation. If more develops, that would be another of life's surprises. My kids are my priority when they are with me, and my career has it's demands, but 30% of the time they are with their dad giving me the freedom to explore new adventures and hopefully people. Just to be clear,I am not looking for a surrogate father for my kids (they already have one), and initially at least, prefer to keep dating separate from family life. A couple of hours with my eleven year old twin boys would send any sane person running for the hills anyway!
Being British, Americans tend to perceive me as quiet and reserved, but I am warm once you get to know me. I have diverse interests and eclectic tastes. I have travelled the world, mainly prior to kids, and look forward to the days when I can once again follow my wanderlust. I have summited Kilimanjaro and trekked to the base camp of Everest, ridden elephants in Northern Thailand, explored Machu Picchu, lived on a kibbutz, hiked in Bali, been on safari three times and seen the pyramids. I would love to find someone with the same passion for travel and new experience. On my bucket list is Chile, the Galapagos, Antarctica and Costa Rica. Joshua Tree and Julian would be fine just fine for now. What's on yours?
For now, I enjoy the simple things life has to offer, a good glass of wine, listening to KPBS while driving, getting up at 5.30 to see the lunar eclipse with my kids, picking tangerines in the garden, taking a jacuzzi in the rain, Lyle Lovett at Humphreys: all better when shared with someone special. The values in a partner that are most important to me are honesty and integrity, a good sense of humor, and of course that most elusive and indefinable of all, chemistry.

Perhaps with snorkeling or art galleries nearby (think Big Island of Hawaii or 6th arrondissement in Paris).
