We get together for trivia, bowling, miniature golf, happy hour, dancing, bbqs, camping, movies, private parties, hiking, walking at the park, and more. Between work and all these activities, I really enjoy the hot tub in the backyard.

When I was young I used to tell my mom that I wanted to be a dolphin when I grew up. She laughed and told me she thought I was a dolphin in my prior life…since I loved to swim so much!

At my first swim meet, my dad came home and told my mom…’well, some kids have it and some kids don’t, and Anne just doesn’t have it’! We laugh about that now! We knew nothing about the time swimmers put in the water and how that impacted your performance. Boy did I find out, in high school I spent 5 hours a day in the pool!
The time staring at the black line paid off! I traveled all over the world and earned many awards and kudos for my efforts. I wouldn’t have changed a thing…well maybe a few things : )
And now you ask…what do I do now to stay in shape. Well, I run like a fish out of water but enjoy it. I bike, but only on bike trails, the road scares me. I swim whenever I can in a pool and very rarely in the lake since I’m pretty sure there are sharks or lock ness monsters out there to get me! I also go to the gym and just do what I feel like that day. And, I love to finish with a Jacuzzi and glass of wine…oh it’s sooooo fine!!
As I reflect on that story, I see that it reflects my inner me. I value a sense of dedication to be the best that you can be. I value passion. Find a passion and enjoy it. I also have a sense of humor : )
As I sit here reflecting on myself…I also consider myself a down to earth, fun, and adventurous person who loves tacos! What’s more can you ask for!!
I have a wide variety of interests. I've traveled quite a bit...through Europe...France, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, ...through England, Greece, Romania, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. When parenting life slows down, I want to travel again. For fun...Google 'the largest pool in the world'...that's where I want to go someday before I die!
I enjoy wine tasting, and learning about all the different wine making methods as well as all the types of wines. It's fascinating! Do you know 'fruit forward' actually means 'sweet' in wine language...it makes me giggle.
I can't really decide if I'm a beach or mountain type. I love both! I grew up on the beach in Southern California and I miss it soooooo! I think if I had a choice I would move back to the beach. But I am here now, in Sacramento, and so I enjoy hiking the trails in the Sierras, the wine country all around us, the bay area РІР‚?stuff to doРІР‚в„ў, and my friends. It's peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful!
I've got the coolest 17 year old son and 20 year old daughter. They're my #1 priority. Life has been pretty busy juggling all their activities. But I figure it's only a phase in my life, and so I might as well enjoy it. I do! They are involved in sports too. My daughter is a great swimmer (at a University now) and my son is a rower and an enthusiastic boy scout.
I'm happy with life! But it certainly would be wonderful to find someone who I could eat, drink, and laugh with; who I could travel to the ends of the earth with (or at least to Hawaii or Tahiti); who I could run bike or swim with; who I could just sit around and be mellow with; and who I could tickle and love every day!
And truthfully, dolphins are the perfect next life …they are smart, sociable, fun loving, sleek, sexy, and swim fast!!

Date a soulmate from United States. I haven't updated my profile for quite awhile. Most of it is still accurate although my big dog and one of my rabbits have passed on. The bigest change is that I recently lost my left leg below the knee (June 3rd, 2012). I will start the process next week of getting a prosthesis and I can't wait to walk again. I realize this might be a deal breaker for many, and I understand that completely. I am still hoping there is someone out there who will set my heart on fire and I can do the same for him (maybe you?)
I'm not sure where life is taking me but I'm hanging on for the ride. I want to see as many small towns in the U.S. as I can. I wear jeans and cowboy boots 99.9% of the time. I'll never be Suzy Homemaker - cooking and housekeeping skills escape me, although I'm working on being a better cook. I love my dogs (a Pug and big mutt) and my two Angora rabbits. I hope to have chickens, goats, and horses again at some point, if circumstances allow. I recently (beginning of 2009) learned to enjoy being a passenger on a motorcycle and going on rides through the countryside, as long as it's with someone who wants the bike to stay upright as much as I do. I've also discovered I really like gardening. I'm generally a very positive person and when things go wrong, I prefer to find the fun or funny side rather than get stressed out. Someday I want to sit on the porch of a home in the country with someone I love, drink lemonade and watch the clouds go by.

Fine print: I'm diabetic and had a kidney transplant 12 years ago. I'm listed for another transplant although I'm tooling along pretty well with the current one. I sometimes have trouble with anemia. I can't drive in the dark (often just walking in the dark can be a challenge for me!). None of this keeps me from enjoying my life and doing most of the things I want to do. I do think, though, that my best match would be someone who is patient and understanding!
