I have grown boys 22 and 28 that I love. I enjoy working out in and out of the gym, the stock market, follow politics and world events, road biking, beach cruiser, cooking, traveling, live music, dancing, paddle boarding, and get togethers with friends. I love the beach and ocean which brings me peace so boating, sailing, anything water related is great. I stay active and try new things and want a similar partner.
I'm a compassionate, grounded, quick witted, loving, communicative, intelligent, competent, giving, affectionate and passionate person. I love humor and it gets me through my day often. I dont like gossip or drama.
I am for the most part a "casual" person by ways of dress and my home. I love jeans but Im at home in a great dress and heels, so although definitely a girl, I am not high maintenance. Give me 30 minutes and I can be ready to go anywhere you want (well, not out of town!). I can go from the CEO dinner (but wont forget to say hi to the janitor if I see them on the way to the womens room) to the dive restaurant or bar, and be totally in my element as I am content with who I am and believe things dont define a person. I can learn from every person and experience in life...its the journey.
My goal is to live happily and fully. For me that means eventually finding someone I can share my passions with, and theirs. It doesn't matter whether that be eating homeade chicken soup on a rainy day and romancing in front of a fire, hiking in the mountains or camping, shooting guns, or flying a kite at the beach and picnicking. One of my passions is photography and I always have my camera at hand ready for a good shot.
I've traveled to China, France, Caribbean, Amsterdam, Brugges, Italy, Jamaica, St Marteen, Mexico, Bahamas, Australia, NZ, and others. I'd like someone that embraces and has passion for new food, cultures, and destinations. I'd like to see Alaska, probably camping as I go and really seeing the countryside, wildlife, and northern lights. A road trip on the east coast to take in the fall leaf display sounds fun, as well as an African Safari and the wine country, and travel to Greece, Spain, Costa Rica, and Thailand (Big Bucket List).
Though I like to travel I'm not a vagabond. I love to work in the yard planting a garden and flowers. I love to cook and am quite accomplished from Italian homeade pasta and bolognese, to French coq au vin, homeade chicken tortellini soup, ceviche,etc.. Finicky eaters wouldnt match up well with me, as I enjoy cooking for others. I eat healthy most of the time so I can splurge on well cooked meals or dinners out.
What am I looking for? Somebody who is active, and has a sense of humor that allows them to laugh at themselves and me is a must! Nobody with a paper weight holding them back....Most importantly, the "actions" that are important to me are humble, character, grounded, loyal, monogamous, compassionate, empathetic, affectionate, loving, passionate, financially responsible, emotionally capable and willing, communicative, and truthful. They are the backbone of my belief system. If you dont share these we're not even destined to be good friends, so why bother. If you can communicate openly we can be best of friends and go from there. Looking for the love like that displayed in my favorite movie, "The Notebook"...yes I still believe there is a soulmate awaiting me out there!
I am not a TV watcher....too many other things to capture my interest. I prefer to be doing things than watching tv.
