Date a girl from California, United States. To be honest- like most of you- I was a little apprehensive to do the online dating thing. But then I realized that there might be someone great out there that I could be missing...and my experience has been that Mr. Right is not in the bar or club, haha. I figure this can only increase my chances of meeting someone. I have come to realize through past relationships, the importance of compatibility, and I feel like this is a smart way to find it!
I'm originally from a small town in Northern California and have been living in SF for the past six years. I appreciate where I came from, but love living in the city! I really enjoy meeting new people. I believe that having solid interpersonal relationships with friends and family is one of the most important things in life. I would describe myself as someone that is positive, caring, outgoing, and fun-loving. For all these reasons, I am drawn to those who make me laugh and know how to have a good time in any situation.
In my spare time I enjoy being active, whether it be in the gym after work or exploring many of the beautiful outdoor areas in the Bay Area. I consider myself adventurous and spontaneous, always up for traveling to new places and trying new things. I love to dance and enjoy the nightlife in the city. I work hard and play hard! I don't take myself too seriously or sweat the small stuff. I value the simple things in life and am completely content having a night in, relaxing and watching Chapelle re-runs.
I'm an independent and self-sufficient woman, looking for someone who is in the same place that just wants that added companionship. To me, in a strong relationship, each person is secure on their own but is able to bring out the best in the other person. I have grown a lot in the past couple years, am confident of who I am, and have a firm grasp of what I want out of life and a relationship. To be completely honest, I have great friends, enjoy my career, and all the pieces have fallen into place...now I'm just looking for somebody to share that with!
Meet people from California, United States. I am a small city girl that moved to Los Angeles eight years ago and is still learning to navigate and enjoy all that this great city has to offer...
I have been blessed enough to find a rewarding and challenging career that drives me to become a changemaker and think outside of the box. I value creativity, passion, equality, and innovation and-luckily for me- I get to immerse myself in and advocate for all of the above on a daily basis.
I love to laugh, try new foods, travel, listen to music, watch movies, read by the fireplace, and pretend that I am a Broadway performer/Grammy headliner in my living room. I also love to sail, hike,go to the beach/river, and visit the most adrenaline pumping rides that any theme park has to offer.
I am looking to meet someone that can appreciate the value of building a meaningful relationship. My parents have been married for 27 years and their relationship has shown me that nothing in life is more important than family and unconditional love. If you know who you are, understand what you want, appreciate where you come from, and are ready to meet someone else who can offer the same, let's chat!
Date single girl from California, United States. Before we get started, just a heads up - I am currently not subscribing. The only way I'll know you're interested is if you make it through the end of this essay and figure out how to reach me. I don't want you to feel like I'm ignoring you or anything.
Okay, so let's get right into it..
I'm an only child, too independent for my own good. Looking to learn to share my me time with someone awesome who can help me get over my case of commitmentphobia. While i have commitment issues, i have the opposite of intimacy issues. This combo means I enjoy doing all that comfy coupley stuff like cuddling and other affectionate acts, without an expectation that it means something deeper. So while it's a requisite to be sleep/cuddle-compatible to enjoy the meanwhile, the idea of getting hitched and having your babies provokes a nausea not unlike morning sickness. I guess i'm trying to find a good middle ground--sharing some good intimate moments for longer than a second that mean more than nothing, but less than eternity.
What am I looking for in a dude?
An open mind, a conversationalist with words that make me think and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh (4 times at least. No less). I'd prefer an artistic intellectual over a business-minded suit, someone who can write a beautiful song (...maybe about me? i'd love to be lyrically imortalized. or just rhymed about), a teacher (not professionally really. Just someone i can learn from), an equal and then some.
That's not asking for too much, right??
Wink at me so I know you're interested and maybe I'll be compelled to subscribe.
Meet men and women from California, United States. I'm a registered nurse born and raised in Southern California, but I'm a blue-eyed brunette, not a blonde, and I've never surfed a day in my life! I just graduated in May with my BS in nursing, BA in Spanish and minor in psychology, and moved to the big city for work. I work in a neuroscience ICU (it's hardcore) at a university hospital in Los Angeles (which one? Let's just say I wear red), and that keeps me pretty busy! I hope to eventually have a job I love, a home that's a haven, and to meet someone with whom I can create a family and spend my life.
Like most people in the world (and everyone on a dating website), I love traveling and I'm ready for new adventures. I have a long list of dream destinations, but may have to wait a while for another big trip. However, I'm always up for a road-trip or a weekend getaway! I just moved to Los Feliz, which I love. I'm from the suburbs, and I tend to get lost .....a lot. I enjoy hiking and have just started running, although when I say "running," it's probably more like a brief, slow jog.
This is a major travesty, but I've never actually been to a concert. The older I got, the more it seemed like I had to go to a really great event for my first, so I still haven't been to one! You wanna pop my concert-cherry?
You should message me if you are a smart, funny nonsmoker who wants to meet me! I am eventually looking for someone to share a long-term partnership with, and I really value intelligence, responsibility, humor and kindness in others. Innate kindness is underrated and rare. If you're Bill Nye the Science Guy, you should message me immediately. You're my hero. Also message me if you want to eventually take me camping, rock-climbing, camel-riding, hot-air-ballooning (I want to conquer my fear of heights), road-tripping across the U.S., and teach me to cook, ski and swim properly.
I've been called "feisty" and "sassy," so if you like a girl who's caring but can hold her own, I'm your lady!
I work nights and pretty much stick to that schedule, so you may find me on here at odd hours (but I promise not to text or call in the middle of the night unless you're up too). Bonus points if you're a night owl and can entertain me while the rest of the world slumbers!
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I'm born in California, but raised in both California and different parts of Europe :-) ... I have lived in NYC and DC for the past year and a half and I just moved back. For those of you who are new to California and have only heard about it, no... all the women are not plastic, fake boobs, and Orange County housewives. Yes, I like to be active, and walks on the beach are great, but who doesn't like those. Although I will say I'd rather play a game of basketball, or paintball instead.
I'm usually pretty energetic, which makes it difficult to find someone who is on my level. Not to say that I can't be mellow and relax. I love to LAUGH!!! If you consider yourself humorous and can make me laugh you have already won with me! I LOVE CARS!!! ACTUALLY... OBSESSED WITH CARS because I grew up with them! I'm educated, successful, and achieved in the film and entertainment industry...no I'm not a talker...I actually WORK in the Industry. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel and do it pretty often. I love to cook...I think it is one of the best ways to get to know someone.
I am one of those rare women that do love the traditional man is man and women is women in a relationship, but saying I need a real man in this town can be taken so many ways. So I guess I could say I am looking for someone who knows how to have fun, is easy going, and doesn't feel self conscious about his own accomplishments or is intimidated by me. I love confidence and I hate flakes. Just trying to find someone who wants to hang out in the playground I call Cali.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Hey! I'm Stephanie. I'm a registered nurse. I love my job but I work long hours. I love a good joke that can make me laugh so hard I cry. I love to go out and have a good time. I am looking for someone who hold's their family as a high priority in their life and likes to do things with their family. My family is a big part of my life. I want someone who has a sense of humor, likes to watch basketball games ( Go Lakers!) , enjoys going camping and to the beach, and is willing to try something new every once in a while, and someone who wants to travel. I enjoy wake boarding during the summer and just spending time on the lake. I enjoy riding dirt bikes. I'm not a big fan of the whole night club scene.
Date a girl from United States. I have never been really great at these kinds of questions, but here we go: I recently moved to the Los Angeles area from Vermont. I love the green mountain state and everything that it has to offer but there are so many places out there to see and experience, so this is the next step. I really enjoy being outside and any activity that you can do outside including: hiking, skiing, climbing, running, biking, and even napping. Chances are, if its outside I'm into it. I don't have alot of time for TV but when I do I find myself watching shows such as The Office, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and 30 Rock. I am also a huge sports fan! I love watching and going to sporting events. I tend to be shy at first but once we get to know each other I am very warm and friendly. I am looking for someone who also enjoys the outdoors and being active, and getting as much out of life as possible, someone I can share many adventures with and can also just relax with too.

Meet people from United States. I'm a pretty tough gal with hefty goals and serious ideals. I'm a Marine Corps Veteran (I wouldn't hurt a fly... unless it started the fight), I worked in Peru for a few months where I fell in love with kids and the idea of being a Mom.I am working my way into UNICEF, I really want to save the world. In the next few months I have to make a really big decision that will place me in either Boston, NYC, or San Diego.
I don't know what I am looking for in particular but I know for a fact I need someone who makes me laugh. I like arguing over unnecessary garbage and then giggling about it minutes later. I don't take myself too seriously so I am not sure I would want to be around someone else who actually does. I am super tall so an aesthetically appealing physical trait would be someone else who is tall so that we don't look weird around each other.
Date single girl from United States. I'm relaxed, go with the flow, glass half full and a free-spirit. I like to be outdoors more than indoors. I like yoga, being in Golden Gate Park doing anything (picnics, frisbee golf, kickball, etc), and being at the beach. It's important to me to live an active and healthy lifestyle. I'm definitely more of a morning person, but I do enjoy going out at night. I love my dogs more than anything (who sadly live with my parents), and I love my work as an Events Manager for a hotel in downtown Palo Alto. I'm sarcastic and can take a joke if you can, too. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do.
I'm looking for someone who I can laugh with. Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and who has a passion for making the most out of life. Most importantly, someone who will be a partner and a teammate. Someone who is always up for a new adventure and who isn't scared to go on vacation with no set plans. You should be ready to deal with the fact that I'm not a typical girl in the way that I am much happier at a Giants game in my jersey and baseball hat than I am out at a fancy dinner in high heels (although being wined and dined on occasion is fun too). Big points if you love baseball and hockey (I bleed Orange and Black), and even more points if you know how to cook. A great meal is the way to my heart.

I'm not opposed to making new friends and/or something more...
I would like to meet someone I can joke around with...someone i can hang out at home or run a muck with... Someone who is NOT perfect (but who can see the beauty in imperfection). Id like to meet a man who has dreams and goals (and the determination to reach for them) and can encourage mine, can hold an intelligent (and witty) conversation, who appreciates the differences between things, can be spontaneous (junping out of planes), and above all enjoys making a girl smile :-) & finding happiness in the simple things

Date a soulmate from United States. I am about 3 weeks new to the area from sunny Pasadena. I have never even been to the area before I moved up here. Instead of babbling I'm gonna list some important facts..
-I have 4 older sisters and a twin brother, YES, I'm twin!
-My siblings and I are all extremely close and are involved in each others lives. Making time for all my family is very important to me, so we plan trips often.
-My friends, they are spread out almost everywhere. It makes vacationing fun and always memorable, and usually checking out places I've never been!
-Both my parents worked as engineers for Caltech in Pasadena, so I let my brainy side come out sometimes!
-Although, I grew up in Pasadena I spent almost every vacation time on the family ranch, sheep herding. Explains why I love the outdoors, open spaces, country music and rodeos.
-I was the tomboy growing up that ended up working in the fashion industry.
-I love being the girly girl and dressing up, but have no problem getting dirty.
-I LOVE cooking and baking.. I'm the nerd that will bake you something on your birthday, and come over and make you soup when your sick.
- In LA I loved hosting ... For example.. Hikes- packing an awesome picnic with a bottle of wine, Mobster movie night- Pasta and everyone bring a bottle of wine for a wine tasting, Roaring 20's- was martini and cigar night, Drive in movies with everyone meeting up and making our own candy.
Aside from being attracted to someone and trying to keep our hands off each other.. ;)
I hope you..
- Share the same playful and adventurous spirit.
-Someone with a huge heart and chivalrous. YES, this means flowers and opening the car door!! Not just on the first few dates! ha ha ha
-Confident and very comfortable with themselves and enjoys being romantic and loving, because I love showing someone I care and think about them... and really appreciate and love romantic gestures. Its a must for me.
-Responsible, positive, ambitious, loyal, and have integrity.
No debbie downers or people prone to negativity. I have zero tolerance for anyone argumentative, aggressive, rude, demeaning, or confrontational this goes not just to me but to others as well.
Meet someone special from United States. Been in SoCal for most of my life, grew up in Orange County and went to UCLA. Moved to SF from LA in September and am having a great time exploring what the city has to offer.
I'm often told that I am a very genuine and fun person to be around. I like to be spontaneous and am always looking for the next adventure. My friends appreciate that I'm good at finding cool things to do around the city. I enjoy going to concerts (maybe too much!) and music festivals. I love to dress up for a night on the town, but am perfectly content with (and sometimes prefer) sitting in my PJs in front of the TV.
Love to travel and experience different cultures. Been around South America, Asia, Europe...and plan on making it to all 7 continents in my lifetime. Best travel experience so far would be driving around in a 4x4 for 4 days across the beautiful landscapes of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia or dancing on the beach at the Sunburn Music Festival in Goa, India. Just got back from Thailand in Dec. Next trip is to Barcelona and Ibiza in Sept!!
My family and friends are very important to me. Life gets busy, but I value my relationships and I'm very good at keeping in touch with people. I am pretty independent and am looking for someone that will compliment and enhance my life.
I'm at a really good place in all aspects of my life (emotionally, spiritually and professionally) and I'm looking for someone to explore the city and share new experiences with. I want someone that is supportive and dependable. Similarities are a plus, but I actually prefer we have some differences to broaden our horizons and learn new things.
