Well, to start things off, I just moved up here to the Bay Area from Southern California to attend grad school in psychology at San Francisco State University. Now that I'm settled, I've begun the process of learning about all that is "San Francisco," both in its culture and in its locales. Amongst this, I would like to begin dating and eventually start a serious relationship with a young woman similar to myself. While the majority of my time is spent with academics, I am also forcing myself to get out to a bar or do something "San Francisco" AT LEAST once a week.
Something you should know about me is that I'm a huge film buff, I actually have a degree in screenwriting along with psychology, thus if you appreciate intelligent films, particularly dark comedies, satires, and subtle humor, we should get along just fine. I'm very interested in philosophy, evolution, anthropology, history, and political science, so if your own education is in any of these fields, I'd love to discuss them over a black coffee, jasmine tea, or maybe a whiskey sour.
On a personal note, I'm at that particular point in my life where I have truly begun the whole existential "staring into the abyss" journey into understanding exactly "who I am,” and what I want out of my life. I grew up in the Bay Area and lived in Amsterdam, Holland for one year when I was in college. I recently traveled back to Europe a few months ago and had a blast but needed a vacation after the vacation because I did too much! Being active and "outdoorsy" is very important to me. I've been a kickboxer for about 5 years and grew up playing tennis. I found out on a recent trip to Hawaii that I'm afraid of being in the ocean! I freaked out while snorkeling for the first time and ditched my partner to head straight for the shore! Not a proud moment... :)
Other random tid-bits: I love waking up early and jogging or getting coffee before most people are out; my jokes are pretty corny; breakfast is my favorite meal of the day; I've been trying to cook a lot but my food never comes out as good as my grandmother's; I love wine though I'm not snobby about the lingo. Most importantly, I have strong family values and hold others to a high standard of integrity.
As I type this, I'm listening to Pandora on random, which is playing a mix of Spanish guitar, Stevie Wonder, Foreign Exchange, Bone Thugs and Miranda Lambert (yes, that's Country). However, nothing is better than live music - of any genre!

A straight-up type of guy! Honest, funny,chill personality, has drive in life; a person I can tease and that will tease/challenge me and keep me on my toes; also someone who is comfortable in his shoes and proud of who he is.
