I do work hard in my career and enjoy it most of the time, so I try to squeeze in as much as I can outside of that - whether it's a relaxing day around town or a random adventure up the coast. I grew up under constant heckling from three quirky big sisters… needless to say this has left me with a soft spot for family and a decent sense of humor. My Southern CA roots have predictably made me a fan of sunny weekends: surfing, tennis, golf, sushi, wine, a good Sunday afternoon barbeque, or an occasional impromptu Vegas trip. While I’ve ventured out a bit in my travels and spent a couple great years in San Francisco for work, Southern California will always be home.
I’ve learned to embrace my career…as much as I sometimes share the viewpoints of the brilliant writers of “Office Space”, work is a necessary part of life, so I try to excel at it. Plus it allows my inner nerd to shine. I work in institutional investment consulting down in the South Bay (I know… what the heck does that mean! …. Ask me later if you care, haha) Weeknights are spent getting a drink with friends, an after-work trip to the gym if I’m feeling motivated, the occasional intramural softball game, and of course a relaxing night of quality cable television (I hate the reality TV phenomenon yet find myself addicted to Pawn Stars and Storage Wars lately…. )
