Date someone special from United States. Personally, I am a fun and active person with a zeal for life! I love all the social benefits to life including travel, romantic dinners either out or at home. I collect wine so wine tasting and wine pairings and dinners are always a draw. But, most of all I like being with friends and enjoying their company.
Culturally, I am on a mission to broaden my own understanding of this place we live called earth, and how to be a wiser and more experienced part of it! I love to ride my bike which I do 3 to 4 times a week, take hikes and walks in quiet and beautiful places, especially the beaches wherever I am. I love visiting my four adult children (3 girls & 1 boy) as they are spread around California, and stay active in the business world with some consulting in both my former careers of newspapers, and franchising, but my most active pursuit currently is managing my commercial real estate in northern California.
Personality wise, I enjoy being with others more than being alone, an extrovert, however I have learned the value of time alone and can't go on very long without this. I look at life from the big picture rather than picking things apart, although I am detailed oriented as well. I like to "feel" rather than "think" things to death when making decisions, but again I believe I am a very deep thinker. I see others through a lense of acceptance and understanding rather than judgement, but if I need to make a judgement quickly I can and do so. I think these character traits make me someone that is fun to be with, able to make decisions, and free from many hang ups! I have been working all my life on knowing myself better so I can be with someone who can really know me, and I can really know! It has been a quest, but one I plan on acheiving one day soon!
In conclusion, I am looking for that special lady that I will want to loose myself for! I know I can't completely, and I won't, but I would love the opportunity to be with someone I would feel that way about! That someone who would appreciate this and would be able to receive it! Someone I can spoil, but also care for! Someone who has their own life and happiness and is willing to share it with me, but also happy with her own support community.

In the past few years I have taken some great trips including a wonderful journey to Italy, the Yucatan, and a trip to Alaska where I was able to hike through parts of several glaciers, kayak, fly in a float plane, and photograph some of the tiny, delicate life of the tundra in Denali. One of my favorite places in the world is Yosemite in the Fall. I love cycling and enjoy riding regularly with groups or solo.
