Date someone special from United States. I am looking for a warm, sincere woman for a long term relationship.
I seek someone somewhat like me who is fun, smart, sincere, attractive, energetic, expressive, professional and can laugh at herself and at me. But first a little history....I am 59 years old. I have been living in California for 30 years. I have lived in Tiburon for 18 years. I am originally from New York and still possess a very slight NY accent, which only comes out on "suetin wouds".
I own a consumer product development company. My time is flexible and I would like to enjoy it with a special woman. I am creative and enjoy the entrepreneurial business world.
I consider myself fun and smart with a quick wit, sometimes with a silly touch. I am lively, energetic, positive and upbeat and like to laugh alot. I enjoy outdoor activities such as tennis, hiking, skiing, kayaking, golf, horseback riding and my favorite, long walks with a special person. I love dogs and have a sweet golden retriever named Chester. I also like the symphony, theater, museums, photography, The New York Times, photography, dining out, most certainly the wine country, backroads (getting lost), travel (recently traveled to France to paint in Monet's garden, although I'm not really an artist), parties with friends and mostly being close to somebody.
I like new adventures and enjoy travel to some far off places. I've been to India, The Galapagos Islands and other "different" destinations. Lots of the time, I enjoy wandering on a local back road up in the mountains, in the wine country or along the coast.
Oh, I don't like eggplant very much but to be honest I do like a good babbaganoush, mostly because I like saying the word!
I am communicative and enjoy lively discussions about everything from politics to silly things that matter little. I am generally analytical and down to earth. I am not religious, spiritual or new agey, but am reflective and philosophical about life and its mysteries.
I seek someone to share my life with. To have that "we" feeling. My ideal match is a woman between 49 - 59 years old, who is attractive with an easy laugh, witty, quick, bright has an upbeat style and is curious, fit and can be adventurous. She is sincere and warm and has a solid character. She enjoys travel and some sports and communicates easily. She is reflective about life, herself, people and situations. We like to laugh and can laugh at each other because we appreciate our differences.
Meet people from United States. I've been a single Dad for 18 years.....2 fabulous daughters.
They've been my constant....jobs have come and gone, businesses opened and closed, a few fleeting romances, but getting them to where they are now the most meaningful and important thing I've done. One is now working in NY at a large advertising agency, the other is a senor at Berkeley studying for MCATS.
Now it's my turn! I'm ready.
I've been traveling a lot these days...producing motorsports programs (I'm NOT a car guy) that has been a sociological expedition into the red states. It's another country out there......both fascinating and scary at the same time. Makes for a good story.
I like to think and talk........politics, movies, art, relationships, all make for good conversation with a glass of wine. I'm not good at talking about "the weather", if you know what I mean.
I work out every day....have lost 15lbs over the past few months, still have a few more to go.....hence the "few extra pounds"...would rather be honest about that. Plan to switch that to "about average" very soon! But I enjoy food and wine too much to give it all up.
I enjoy exploring the creative community, galleries, neighborhood "joints" (but good ones), good wine and good eats, and lately big band jazz at some local clubs. Trips up the coast, wine tasting, and SF (lived there for a long time...maybe someday again) Gave up the season tix to the opera, but still enjoy live theater or the opera when I can. Visit a couple of local jazz clubs once a month or so.
I'm looking for a best friend, that shares a deep commitment to family and friends (and can understand and appreciate my very close relationship with my daughters), but can be spontaneous and playful and enjoy the simply joys of a relationship. Dating at this age has it's challenges.....we all have plenty of baggage from the past. A sense of humor and perspective is definitely required!
Enough said? If not, let me know, or let's talk. But please, DO NOT WINK ME! I will not respond.....if you are interested, please tell me why...thanks.
