Date men and women from California, United States. I'm 60 years young, recently widowed, ready to continue making the most out of life. I believe life, like a good wine, gets better with age and is meant to be shared and enjoyed. I am a loyal, kind, honest guy with an outgoing personality. I like staying active and enjoy many different types of entertainment. While I'm no comedian, I can come up with some funny stuff, and I enjoy a good laugh, whether at a good joke or at myself. I enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren and my brand new 3 month old great grandaughter. I like to ride motorcycles, bowling, hiking, fishing, camping, home projects. I really enjoy helping people, especially those that go through life never asking for help. I enjoy dining out, dancing, going to the movies or to live performances such as musicals and plays or live concerts.(no rap). I like barbeques on the deck, as well as cooking in the kitchen. I think the kitchen can be a rather intimate place, when shared with the right person. I believe in God and try to live my life by His instruction manual, the Bible.
I'm going to be making a few major changes in my life over the next couple years. Most significant among them being selling my ranch in N.E. California and leaving the state, possibly to Nevada or Arizona. I've not been happy with California politics for years. If you are liberal in your politics, don't bother responding unless you're ready for many lively debates,which I would totally be up for:-) I'm also planning a cross country motorcycle trip for spring through mid to late summer 2013. Having someone to share it with would be like icing on the cake.
Of all human emotions, anger is the least attractive. I am even tempered and would like to meet someone that is also. Life is too short to squabble.
I'm hoping to meet someone who is healthy, puts God, family and friends as their first priorities, and has a zest for life. Someone who can be spontaneous, and throw caution to the wind, like a cross country motorcycle trip, or jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft. Someone that has a sense of humor and can take a little kidding and still smile.
Someone that likes to be treated like a lady and waits for me to open the door. I feel that when two people are out together, there should be no one wondering who they are with. Holding hands, benign touching can be intimate without being obscene, and I have zero problem showing affection in public. Other women should wish they were in your place, and men wish they were in mine. The word "attentive" comes to mind.
I'd like to find a woman that is strong and independant, yet is willing to yield to us as a couple. If you can become attuned to your mate's emotional needs, giving comfort, love, and affection, and giving space when needed, you probably are doing pretty good.
