My friends would descriibe me as honest, caring, trustworthy, passionate, hard working, dedicated, compassionate, intelligent, sarcastically witty, and the give a stranger the shirt off my back type of guy. I can be opinionated at times, and am game for occasional playful banter. I've had my bad boy days and bad boy ways, and I came to the realization that those ways, although attractive to some, ulitmately it led to nothing postive evolving in my life. The only bad boy side of me that still exists is the part that makes a woman feel safe and secure..the side that assures her, without a doubt, that I wouldn't let anything in the world happen to her.
I love to do just about anything with that special someone, whether it be weekend get aways to The City or Tahoe, or just cuddling up on the couch watching a movie. I love to get dressed up for a night on the town for dinner and drinks and just as equally love just staying in enjoying a glass of wine by the fire. It's more about just spending time with that special someone and being present in the moment with each other. That being said, my primary love languages are affectionate touch and quality time...SHOCKER!!...Right? :)

I want to meet someone who is here and hopeful about building something real and meaningful. Don't just say you are then a few months down the road...throw out a "just kidding". People always talk negatively about relationships. I'm guessing it's because they have yet to expierence a real adult relationship with communication, respect, passion and the understanding that we're not perfect. I want it all. I want the backyard BBQ's with friends and family. I want the date night all dressed up and hitting the city. I want to pack a picnic and head to the coast with no destination. I want to hold hands while walking downtown after getting our morning coffee. I want to go to baseball and football games with you and know that you'll have fun no matter what. (BTW, I'm an original Bostonian...so be certain that we'll attend plenty of Giants games...but when the Red Sox are in Oakland, I'm at all the games). Ultimately, I want to meet a woman who is secure and comfortable with herself. Can take a compliment when I tell her how beautiful she is. Will apprecite me for being considerate and attentive. Basically, I'm here to prove that nice guys don't have to finish last.

I like to be active and take great satisfaction in making things. Sometimes a sewing project, cloths for my daughter’s felted mouse, hiking, biking, or welding together a new bike. (I use the term bike loosely here) I like the challenge of making or repurposing things into something more useful or beautiful. Sometimes I keep the end results and other times I give them away, I find that the part I enjoy the most is the actual process of making. While active sounds more exciting, sometimes all I want to do is cook a nice meal or sit and watch a movie.
I realized that life is not always how we think it should be, and that happiness can be found in many places. Most importantly it can be found within ourselves. I know this in my mind and am working on feeling it in my whole being. I still have a way to go but I am getting closer every day.
About whom I am looking for. She must have eyes, they are good. Hair is nice also, I like all kinds. Having a language in common would be great but I am also good with gestures and Pictionary. Education is a great thing and I highly recommend it. Most important is a strong personality, someone that can challenge and inspire me to push myself both physically and emotionally. I think it is important to never stop learning and having the right people around you can give you the motivation and the opportunity to make this happen.

I'm a driven logical thinker, responsible, honest, and inquisitive. I have a professional career and dress up during the week, so weekends are my wind down time and you’ll generally find me relaxing in a pair of blue jeans or shorts and a T-shirt. I’m fairly active and love outdoor activities. I’m not an avid runner or cyclist, but work out almost every day, can comfortably run/bike a couple of miles and like to come home on a summer day and jump in the pool after doing so. I don’t have a lot of free time to watch movies or television during the week, but like to laugh, and I enjoy a good comedy when time does permit. I like the occasional get away, but also like to stay in and watch a movie on a rainy night while soaking up heat and enjoying the glow from the fireplace. I enjoy exploring local places, hanging out with friends and socializing, but am more comfortable doing so at a BBQ or dinner party than a bar.
Family and friends are exceptionally important. I don’t have children, but love spending time with my friends kids, treat them as my own, and look forward to having children someday.
