I moved to San Francisco from Seattle a few years ago for my dream job and while I'm still not certain where Santa Rosa is (east? west?), I consider this lovely city my home. I've been pretty focused on work these last few years with people who make me laugh every day. When Caltrain comes to fetch me each day, I'm happy.
I'm a fairly gentle soul that intuits my way through life though I'm not without a little feisty. I love animals, the little nooks and crannies of the city, live entertainment in small venues and pretty much anything that doesn't involve clowns or the zoo. I've traveled a lot and enjoy it but like plenty of down time with people I love. Being outside in beautiful spaces, especially near the ocean is one of my favorite things. It's possible I'm a reverse gold-digger, showy displays of wealth make me uncomfortable. Going out is fun but I'm also happy if we're just hanging out with your dog (please have a dog) watching Mad Men.
As for you, I'd offer a description but that seems awfully contained.
I actually like it if you've been through a few things (including therapy if they were horrific). Men who write well make me swoon.The bluetooth ear piece is a mystery I'm ok with never solving. I like an edge but don't do well with mean. I love funny (we all do) but quiet is nice too.I understand anxious. Understated success is fine; showy is uncomfortable, if it's possible to be a reverse gold-digger, that's me, showy displays of wealth make me uncomfortable. Curiosity is sexy. So is smart. I'm a little ga-ga for a man in glasses. You're left of center in most things after having thought about it but you won't throw a glass of water at a Republican at a dinner party Physical chemistry can't be replaced. And lastly, it's kind of nice if you know how to throw a football.
That's quite a tall order! If I didn't lose you up there at paragraph 87, I'm a fan of meeting in person where chemistry takes care of itself.

I usually find down-to-earth guys who are open-minded attractive. In addition, a little bit of patience without too much aggressiveness probably can help us get along better. I'd prefer someone who is trying to see the half glass full instead of empty. I don't get bored that easily, but sharing some common interest such as hiking would also be a benefit. I love to travel. I have a few favorites that I go back to now and again, but really prefer visiting places I've never been. I'll go anywhere and try anything at least once. My last big trip was to Spain and Morocco and I've also recently fallen in love with Esalen down in Big Sur. I've done volunteer work in Brazil, and believe we are all part of a bigger picture and should always strive to touch others in a positive way.
I'm a pretty good cook - usually healthy stuff, but I do have some comfort food favs - mac n cheese, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I enjoy being outdoors - everything from running (trail running is my favorite) and hiking, to golf and tennis. I also love to spend time with friends and family.
