Now that my boys are grown I'm looking to have all those experiences and adventures that I couldn't find time for when my focus was work, dinner, laundry, homework, and sports - if you've ever been a single parent you know what I'm talking about. I'm having so much fun with friends and family, but I'm at a place now that I'd really like to find a special person to share my new adventures with and maybe introduce me to a few things. With my kids grown, I now feel I can sufficiently give my time and energy to a relationship rather than little league.
My closest friends describe me as easy-going, fun, dependable, intelligent, and considerate. I may have heard firecracker and fiesty once or twice, too.
My boys describe me as loving, strong, a nerd, a dork, and tone deaf. I don't care, I sing anyway and love it :) I think the one thing they call me that makes me smile most is super woman.
I would describe myself as optimistic and hopeful, a bit of a romantic, affectionate, passionate, loyal, and sometimes a deep and analytical thinker. Ok, I suppose I can admit to the dork thing, too, but seriously...I can really rock it in my car and I'll never admit that I can't sing.
I'm looking for a partner who is strong and honorable. He will like who he is and accept me for who I am. For example, I may want to have my hair done, buy a new dress, and have a sweet, romantic dinner Friday night, then spend the rest of the weekend camping, fishing, and shooting an M4. (Man, I love being a woman :) )
I adore a man who holds my hand when we walk, opens my car door, but lets me carry my own ammo can. I prefer being in relationships that are open and honest and with a partner who can express himself emotionally as well as intellectually, and enjoys a good, sometimes passionate, 2-way conversation. Oh, and extra bonus points if you can make me laugh till I cry.
I can be quite affectionate when the spirit moves me. If you've done something that makes me happy, I will certainly let you know it. I want a man who also enjoys giving and receiving affection.
