I am a born and bred California girl, but am not the typical California girl.. I am not one for the beach (unless it's at night, or there is a storm brewing), the sun doesn't like me much. If I could get my freckles to melt together I'd have an awesome tan! But put me square in the middle of Wyoming or Alaska and I'd be a happy camper. I don't plan on relocating any time soon, but one can dream..right?
I enjoy seeing things locally..jump in my truck, camera in hand and see where I end up. But I have recently been bitten by the traveling bug. Two trips to Alaska and a recent trip the the Amish Country in Pennsylvania have shown me just how much fun traveling can be! Getting out and seeing new things is a wonderful way to spend the weekend, but it's even more exciting when sharing it with someone.
That's not to say I can't be a homebody. I enjoy a good movie, curled up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn just the same. It all depends on the mood, the weather and the company.
I love photography and am a budding novice. I have a camera that does so much more than I'm even aware, but I'm working on figuring out all the bells and whistles. I quilt when I can (usually for friends and/or charity). I enjoy cooking and am willing to try almost anything, I just need to find a willing taste tester.!
I've had the same job for almost 23 years, so I guess I could be considered stable. It's an 40 hour a week job so I don't tend to bring too much of it home with me. Sans the occasional grumble about what's going on that shouldn't be going on, but I keep that to a minimum.
