Date a soulmate from California, United States. Sweet, sensitive, smart and sassy girl looking for a partner to have intellectual, international, culinary and other adventures with. Love of nature, books, ideas an absolute must as well as a sense of humor and a desire to contribute to this planet.
I hate writing about myself, but in a nutshell: I'm a journalist and editor, have lived and worked in numerous countries, fluent in Spanish and Russian. Enjoy cycling, salsa dancing and gardening, stomping around in my muddy boots then putting on a nice dress to go to the theater. I am very involved in my community, as a mentor and as a volunteer at the animal shelter.
I don't care what color you are or what religion, so long as you are interested in continuously learning, growing and challenging yourself. If you speak foreign languages, that's a real plus.
Drop me a line. Maybe we'll hit it off, maybe we'll just check out a cool new bar. Maybe we'll be laughing about it all 40 years later.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Quality is more valuable to me than quantity. It is important for me to surround myself with kindhearted people, such as my dear family and friends. I enjoy meeting new people whom I find sincere, open-minded, and well-rounded. My personal and professional growths are continuously evolving. Doing something meaningful in the world is what intrigues me!
I value someone who is genuine and balanced in life: confident yet humble, goal driven but down to earth, a conversationalist who can also can enjoy the quiet moments, a witty sense of humor yet knows when to be mild mannered, and a wise owl who is also open-minded to learn.
Date a woman from California, United States. I am a fun loving and kind person who likes trying new things. I try to make the most out of life. I like going to new places when possible, traveling as well as exploring areas nearby. I am fairly social but also love making a good dinner at home. I like organizing mini adventures (like a hike or day at the beach).
I am an interior designer and just started my own practice this year so I have been working a lot. Before that I was working at not-for-profit architecture firm.
I am looking for someone who is light-hearted and is kind. I also appreciate someone who is passionate about what they do for work.
I really like going out and doing fun things.
Meet a soulmate from San Francisco, United States. My 101 year old aunt calls me a soulful bad*ss and the moniker is one that I embrace since my permanent address lies somewhere between 'raising hell' and 'amazing grace'. I always look at what I can put into a relationship rather than what I can get out of it and my mindset allows me to only see the best in people.I grew up travelling and my international upbringing gives me a great perspective on life and a happy go lucky attitude that I'm proud of. It's also left me with a mild British accent that gets stronger when I am happy or tipsy :-)
I asked my oldest friends to describe me their list was: genuine; a little introverted; shamelessly feminine; invincible; decisive; sincere; charitably motivated; warm; a luxurious minimalist; culinarily adept; nurturing; musically minded; a hug junkie; intuitive; outdoorsy: a bit of a ball-buster; passionate about simple pleasures; loyal; committed to healthy living; emotionally fearless; naughty; calm in a crisis; a thrill-seeker; occasionally cheeky; low maintenance about superficialities, discerning about values and manners; kind and a little old school.
I fully own up to being a bit of a throwback and, GASP, absolutely LOVE being a woman. I embrace my femininity in all its manifestations. IРІР‚в„ўd love to say that IРІР‚в„ўm funny but the jury is still out on that one even though self deprecating humour is a cornerstone of my character. Depending on where you meet me IРІР‚в„ўm either poised in a professional setting or relaxed in a kitchen whipping up something delicious for people I love. Elegance is something I aspire to, yet the fact that I have the soul of a clown and am one of three Indians (dots not feathers) with freckles usually renders me cute and huggable instead. Strength of character and authenticity mean the world to me and I donРІР‚в„ўt let people get close to me unless they embrace both (with self-deprecating zeal). I'm that girl on planes that strangers hand their babies to while using the loo and that overworked business men reveal their secrets to. I have a peculiar talent of knowing what people want, often before they do themselves. I grew up between four countries with a bunch of rowdy brothers and hold my own in just about any situation, with a smile on my face and a cheeky comeback. I'm an INFJ and am true to my Myers Briggs type.
As a girlfriend I am one who will:
happily hold your hand while skydiving or thrillseeking;
have something yummy and homecooked in the fridge next to your favourite beer;
support your dreams;
wear dresses and heels just for you;
massage your shoulders and ego as needed;
encourage you to have your 'man time';
ensure your family and friends will always have their place in your life and the one that we share;
work tirelessly to make sure that there is always tons of love, laughter and fun in our relationship;
always have your back in all ways.
I am looking for an intelligent, affectionate, attractive (well groomed with a great smile), witty, strong (referring to character), kind man. If you are the sort of no hassles guy who enjoys deep conversations, random day trips, good food and lots of laughter you'll get my attention. If you are comfortable in the kitchen, read to me, make me giggle till my sides hurt, let me melt into a hug, invite me to wear your sweaters, challenge me to try something new or inspire me to new levels intellectually, physically or spiritually there is a damn good chance we'll have a blast together. My favourite people are generous with their time, affection and humour. I gravitate toward athletes since they share my mindset and pursuit for self-discipline. IРІР‚в„ўm incredibly passionate about many things and crave seeing that in a man, be his passions altruistic, artistic, athletic or academic. Men who laugh at themselves always make my heart light-up.
Interest piqued? Drop me a line :-)
Date someone special from San Francisco, United States. I'm a Bay Area native. I grew up in the East Bay and have lived in San Francisco for 7 years. I'm close with my family - my parents still live in the house I grew up in, and my sister lives in the city just down the street from me with her husband and baby. I have great friends, and I have a lot of fun, but I can be a homebody too. I work in advertising sales, which I enjoy because it keeps me out of an office; I meet a lot of people, and I enjoy helping to design ads. I'm also a photographer on the side. I love photographing people, and I've been shooting weddings for 13 years. I love yoga, skiing, scuba diving, trying new things, hiking, laying out, hot tubs, massage, wine, coffee, babies, animals, nature, music, dancing, water skiing, wake boarding, rafting, traveling, star gazing, lounging, liberal politics, hot springs, hammocks, healthy living, enjoying life, hanging with family and friends, self improvement, seeking balance, laughing, learning, and loving.
I'm looking for a serious relationship - a best friend/partner with mutual love, trust, and respect - someone who is smart, fun, kind, successful, responsible, respectful, enjoys the outdoors, outdoor activities, music, good healthy food, ethnic food, fun, sun, wine, travel, vacations, and adventure - someone who wants the same things out of life who wants children in the somewhat near future and who values family. I'm looking for someone who has the time and desire to play with me, dance with me, travel with me and enjoy life experiences together - someone with a domestic side, who likes to stay home, cuddle, cook dinner, watch a movie, and also a fun active adventurous side. I like guys who can appreciate the luxury of staying at fancy resorts with nice pools and great restaurants, but who are also down to earth and can enjoy roughing it, getting dirty, camping and dipping in to rivers and lakes or eating street food. If you're a happy healthy person, and you think you will get as much out of being my friend as I will from being yours then by all means please shoot me an email.
Meet a woman from San Francisco, United States. I am someone who considers herself to be open-minded and passionate. I enjoy intellectual pursuits. My passion is helping others realize their potential.
Ideally I would want a partner who values many of the same things I do. Someone who is my best friend and by each other's side.
Date a soulmate from United States. I have a screenplay in my head that's begging to be written about online dating. But no, this profile is not just for research purposes ;) Here is a random smattering of my favorite things:
* I love being outside and active (I recognize this is a total Match cliche - still - truth!). Won some ski team trophies and played varsity tennis growing up, but now prefer a slightly more laid-back approach to athletics. For ex: love hitting balls from the driving range, especially when there is good conversation and sublime weather to be had.
Plus: Hiking, sailing, swimming, yoga, skiing (esp the apres ski cocktails, reward for skiing the blacks with you) - all make me happy. I also totally dig bar sports like darts and ping pong and get really competitive, which can be kind of awkward, and totally unimportant but ridiculously enjoyable outdoor activities like horseshoes and frisbee.
* I like fun people. Maybe you sing in the shower, cut a wicked turn on the dance floor, or just aren't afraid to make a fool of yourself for a laugh. It's all good. Oh, and if you can fix things, that's amazing.
* I really like design/interiors, meaning a couple of things. 1) Flea market missions in random 'hoods are fun. 2) If you appreciate design in any facet - be it web, visual, interior or even in film or landscaping - we can find something to talk about. Aesthetics are pretty important to me, but you don't necessarily have to share mine.
* Appreciation of the arts & *nerd alert* - I am a sucker for anything that comes out of the creative process! I've written a book and am working on a proposal for a second. Moving from non-fiction to narrative non-fiction. It's an amazing new challenge and I'm loving growing into it plus the excuse to read tons of new things along the way (old menus, Hemingway booze roundups, etc).
* My business is wine. You need to drink it, or we're not going to work (simple enough, right?). I'm an entrepreneur, releasing my first wine this summer/fall.
* I love my family (cheesy, and cliched, but yet another truth).
As for this process:
We can talk about ourselves all day but long profiles aren't any match (pun intended ;)) for chemistry. Shall we roll the dice and see? (PS points if you can tell me the "literary" reference for "Borderline Amazing")
Meet someone special from United States. By day I am a writer, thinker, creator of knowledge and engineer of epiphanies. In my spare time I am an athlete, salsa dancer, ceramics artist, language learner, baker, music connoisseur, and traveler. I want to see as much of this world as I can, and meet interesting, talented, charming, witty, genuine, and funny individuals along the way. Most importantly, I'm trying to live by this quote (which is often attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson) each and everyday...
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived...this is to have succeeded!"
Who am I looking for? You are someone who is confident (not arrogant) in who you are and what you want out of life. You are ready to have a strong and independent woman (me!) by your side to offer you support when life gets tough. You are humble and thankful for all the privileges and opportunities you have been given thus far and recognize just how lucky you probably are. Having an appreciation for different cultures and lifestyles is essential, and an openness and desire to learn more about others is key. And most importantly, you are fun, have a zest for life, an adventurous spirit, and know how to enjoy the everyday moments!
Sound interesting? Let's talk!
Date a woman from United States. IРІР‚в„ўm a Cali girl through and through, combining the sunny optimism of SoCal and the gustatory sophistication of San Francisco. I rarely pass up an opportunity for a new adventure. During a typical week, youРІР‚в„ўll find me waiting in line for pastries at Tartine, going to Zumba and planning happy hour outings for my coworkers and friends. I travel often (this yearРІР‚в„ўs itinerary: Argentina and Brazil) and have a crush on all things international.
IРІР‚в„ўm looking for someone who enjoys the city as much as I do and who will make me laugh. (DonРІР‚в„ўt worry, even corny jokes will do the trick.) You should email me if you know the location of a new pop-up cafe, have exciting travel tales to exchange, or need a partner for quiz night at the local pub. Trust me, you want me on your team.
. I'm looking for someone I can connect with on every level: I want to be able to have just as much fun going to a ball game as laying on the couch watching a movie cuddling. Friendship & communication are very important to me. I want to be able to laugh together, but have serious heartfelt conversations as well. No games- besides SF Giants ones!
. I am young, smart , warm woman looking to find someone adventurous, caring, and most of all funny. Looking for a man who enjoys relaxing and spending time together with a like minded girl. Watch a game, play a game, drink some drinks, hang with friends, and just have a normal drama free relationship
. I ended up in San Francisco after so many year of watching Party of Five and Full House decided it must be the perfect city. Totally kidding, but I will admit I did watch both shows as a kid. As a Northern California native I did always want to move here. Six years and counting – it’s the love of my life along with my one-year-old niece.
Prior to my move here I spent two years in the Peace Corps in the Eastern Caribbean. I know, I know – The Caribbean for the Peace Corps, my life is really tough. Not sure how I lucked out with that one but definitely had my share of challenges.
That experience brought me to my job where I’ve been for 6 years. I work a cultural exchange company. I am basically in human trafficking. I won’t bore you with the details but I have fun stories on a daily basis – love the job and the mishaps of 18-26-year-old girls from other countries sure does make for great happy hour conversation.
Things I like:
• Cocktails – non-drinkers need not apply
• Comedy shows – I like to keep an eye on the calendar for Cobbs and Punchline and I love the show Mortified.
• Music/dancing - I am always the first one on that dance floor - big difference from back in 7th grade when they dance floor was empty for a good hour while everyone (including myself) stood around. Went to Coachella for the first time this year and already got our tickets for next year! Can't wait for Outsidelands too. Electronic music is my favorite. Love going out on weekends, dancing with my friends.
• Cooking – a group of my friends have a dinner club and we cook for each other every Tuesday. The Host does everything – guest just show up with a bottle of wine.
• Being active/working out – love hitting the gym 3-4 times per week. Love spending time outside on weekends, too – GG Park (I live nearby), Marin headlands, Angel Island, Zeitgeist (it’s outside, right?). Also into waterskiing as a result of my father forcing me to be into it; my interest in genuine, however. I try to head into Sacramento every other Saturday to get a few runs in.
• Sports – I get depressed when the NBA championships and MLB baseball seasons end.
Send me a line if you want to chat – I get a little flustered by winks. Chat soon!
