Date someone special from Los Feliz, United States. I am a laid back, low key, pop culture fanatic with a good sense of humor and a tomboy-esque style. I am a sucker for kitsch, 70s/80s/90s nostalgia, and terriers. I appreciate wit and I love to laugh. I am passionate about good stories, really in any form. I love movies, television, podcasts, and books. I love art and I'm in jealous awe of anyone who can craft well. I am also passionate about good snacks.
I am originally from Maine but have lived in Los Angeles for about nine years. I am still not use to the heat, but I love living in a city with an endless number of things to do. So! Many! Things!
My favorite days include earl grey tea, a good book/great music/quality television, and a good meal with great company. All the better if I can wear a cardigan.
I guess I am looking for someone with a good sense of humor, who appreciates a Daria type, and would like to join me at the movies. Someone who could introduce me to new music because I am bad at seeking it out on my own. Bonus points if they like to travel on occasion and enjoy my cooking.
Meet a soulmate from Los Feliz, United States. I was born and raised in the Midwest by parents born and raised in the South, so I got a double-dose (perhaps an overdose) of learning to be polite and sweet.... While I am genuinely a nice person, I also grew - thankfully - to have have a bit of an edge that usually comes out in wittiness (or attempts to be witty). I value intellect, independence, diversity, a strong work ethic, ambition, doing the right thing (even when - especially when - it's hard), and individuality.
I moved to LA for my job (not in the entertainment industry) and love it here. I think the biggest lesson I've learned in LA so far is: "things aren't always what they seem." And that's actually been refreshing and fun. LA is a challenging city, so I can't imagine getting bored here.
I take the subway to work, usually while listening to a podcast or music, or reading a book, or just watching people. Although my friends would describe me as very social, and I certainly can be the life of the party, I often prefer observing others... people are so interesting.
I'm a lawyer, and am very passionate about my job. I love a good night out every once in a while to blow off some steam, but I often need to rejuvenate with a quiet night in. I love brunches (they feel luxurious), spending afternoons at libraries, getting dinner/drinks with friends, and having great conversations. I used to teach group fitness classes, so I appreciate an active lifestyle and try to hit the gym, yoga studio, or the park several days a week. I also have a huge sweet tooth, and am slowly working my way through the House of Pies selection. So far, front runners are chocolate cream and lemon meringue.
As for what I find most attractive in others - a good heart, a curious mind, and a strong sense of humor... someone who loves exploring ideas, people, and places.
