I am a deep thinker and total nature lover. I have discovered that true happiness lies within and is cultivated when I stop judging myself and see what others see. A fault revealed! I am my worst critic. My friends describe me as someone who puts others first, a great listener, loyal, someone who loves to laugh. Seriously! I will probably laugh more at your jokes than any other person you may meet. I also grew up very active and sporty! I let some of that go in college and in my twenties but realized I miss that part of myself so I joined a gym, hired a personal trainer and bought some soccer kleets. I just got back from a trip to the Caribbean and was sharing some pics of my scuba diving adventures with a friend who said, "You really do need an outdoorsy, active guy! Someone who will share these adventures with you!" Last year we went white water rafting and I got flipped out of the raft. She was in the raft freaking out and was amazed when she looked at me floating in the water with my feet up as calm as can be. I thought it was great except for the freezing water! I am really working on becoming the person I am looking for in a partner. An active adventure/intellectual type who is as comfortable on a backpacking trip as he is at an art or historical museum. Being a teacher blesses me with time off I use to explore new things and complete the adventures I dream of. I think I am a very thoughtful person. I am pretty intuitive and can usually scan a room and pick up on what people are feeling. I have an overall positive outlook on life but I don't like to candy coat everything. I don't watch the news, not because I don't want to know what is going on in the world but because I do want to know and find other sources to be more informative. I enjoy watching live sports in person but not on tv. I am committed to my profession and love it but because of my diverse interests and talents I am always on the look out for new opportunities. I don't do boring!
I am very health conscious! I believe in the bodies ability to heal itself when it is supported properly. I seek homeopathic remedies when appropriate and can attest to their affective ness. I see an acupuncturist and do my best to eat things I know my body likes. I am not perfect in that area and have been known to splurge! I also think traditional medicine has its place and am grateful I have a variety of choices. I am also very spiritual but not in a traditional sense. I think I am pretty open minded and respect others beliefs and opinions. I remember something I heard once, "The most important thing regarding a persons belief system is that it should work for them and not against them." Seems logical to me now but I had never thought about it in this way before.
I would like to find someone with whom there is chemistry and common interests. Jealousy is not one of my faults because complete trust is a must for me. I value together time but also time to pursue individual interests and maintain friendships. I enjoy a picnic at the beach as much as a candlelit dinner in an expensive French restaurant. I have a lot of passion, excitement, caring, and love to offer. I am full of ideas that will keep us busy and excited to hear about yours!
