For so long I have been consumed by work with little time left for me let alone anyone else. It took it's toll. I've realized that while I'm very driven and hard working, I need to make time to have a life and to enjoy it - I needed to find a balance. And that is what I have been doing. I've made changes in my life and part of it has been to really look at the romantic side of my life. As you walk through life what good are the joys if you don't have someone to share it with?
LA is not the easiest dating scene to say the least - maybe that's why I've avoided it for so long. It's hard to meet people let alone those who share your passions,interests and values and honestly, I find it hard to find genuine people who really want to develop a real relationship. Meet a woman from Burbank, United States. So many people have suggested I do online dating. I was hesitant to do this as it didn't seem very organic. It seemed very forced and cold. But after lots of nudging from friends, I decided to just do it. Why not? Bar scene gets boring and quite frankly, it's hard to meet people in Los Angeles. As with many things in life, I thought to myself, "I'll never know if I don't try."
I like going on adventures (local and not so local), being silly, trying new things, challenging myself (even if I don't always succeed in what I'm trying to do). I really love yoga and celebrating the amazing things our bodies are capable of. I love learning. I love baking and trying new creations. I can be serious when needed but really prefer the laid back approach. I would really like to meet someone who will be adventurous and silly with me. The best times I've had with friends are times we've laughed to the point of tears over ridiculous things.
I thought about putting "he must be....." "he must have...." , "he must do...." but that just seems uptight and that's not me. Also, it's such a cliche. So I'll just stick with this -
I want someone who is kind, fun and genuine. I don't handle fake too well. It'd be nice to meet someone who wouldn't mind checking out my interests, even if he doesn't always get it. At least he tries! I'd like him to teach me things as well, even if I don't always get it. At least I try!
